Today I walked in the store at 11:40 to receive a cleaning on my necklace and the employees are absolutely rude and passive aggressive . When I walked in I asked if they offered cleaning on their jewelry while holding my necklace and she looked at me and said “yeah we offer cleaning on JAMES AVERY jewelry” as if I wasn’t holding their exact product. It’s crazy because she actually admitted to me she bought the necklace herself so I’m not sure why she had a weird tone.. anyways she told me it would be ready at 12pm and I was shocked because that seemed quick but was happy .. I told her I worked in the mall and will pick it up on my lunch since my shift started at 12. She asked where I worked and when I told her she mentioned a competing brand which I don’t care but I engaged with her and thought it was funny … but she made a weird comment like “well people come in here with Pandora and I wouldn’t make it a big deal like that” … Later on I came on lunch ( 4:15) as promised to pick up my necklace . A different woman approached me and when I told her I was picking up my necklace she said it’s still not ready and would be in 10 minutes but then also said it would be ready by 5 . I was confused and told her the lady earlier told me it would be ready at 12 . She proceeded to argue with me with a nasty condescending tone and said “ you were here at 11:43…” As if I’m lying and I’m stupid . I told her my entire conversation and then she walked off without a word . Not coming back to this location and I’m telling my customers to stay away and go to the Northpark one instead
I’m hate to post this. This evening, Kristin lacked customer service. She was rude and continued to cut my husband off and was even was whispering about him to another salesperson. He went in today to pick up an bracelet order and was having trouble retrieving the email due to poor signal. He was explaining that he would be right back so that he could step outside, get a signal, pull up our order email and confirmation barcode. She cut him off as if he was lying about having an email/receipt. He disregarded it, smiled, and stepped out. When he came back in, Karen ( who was kind) helped us to retrieve the order after we showed our confirmation email/receipt/barcode. Kristin comes up and whispers, “did he show you an email? ?” Karen says, “yes he did ”. While Karen is preparing the order, he is standing back -away from the counter, waiting. There is another patron at the counter who leaves her phone there to look in mirror. Kristin then looks at my husband and hastily grabs the woman’s phone saying, “we are going to move down here to this register.” We will be shopping at the other JA locations moving forward. It’s 2026 and making people feel criminal is NOT OKAY! Respect and kindness should be contagious- it’s free and cost you nothing!
Incredibly disappointed with the lack of communication and inconsistent service at this location. I brought my bracelet in for a minor repair and was told it would be free. The next day, I received a phone call informing me it couldn't be fixed, but that they would replace it with a brand-new one for free. However, when I went back into the store, the staff completely changed their story. They refused the replacement and told me I would actually have to pay to ship my broken piece out for repairs. Giving customers the runaround like this is a very poor way to do business.
I just had to enter this right now because I received the friendliest service from Michelle who made me wish all store representatives were like. I called and asked if they had any boxes I could use for a wire choker bracelet I wanted to …
Yesterday, on December 31st,2025, I visited the James Avery store at Stonebriar Mall for the first time because I needed my ring finger sized. I was genuinely excited, as this was my first experience and something meaningful to me. Unfortunately, the experience felt racially biased and deeply disappointing. When I entered the store, there were two employees present. Neither acknowledged or greeted me, despite me browsing for some time. One employee stared at me for an extended period without saying anything. Shortly after, a white male customer entered the store and was immediately greeted and assisted, along with any other non-black customer that walked in. Eventually, a third employee asked if I had been helped. I said no and explained that I just needed my ring finger sized. She handed me a sizing tool, told me I could keep it, and walked away without providing any guidance or explanation on how to properly determine the correct size. As a customer who had never had a ring sized before, the lack of care, attention, and basic customer service felt dismissive and inconsistent with how others were treated. This experience came across as racial bias, whether intentional or not. No customer should feel ignored, stared at, or brushed off while watching others receive immediate and attentive service. I was looking forward to making a very big purchase, but I will be taking my money elsewhere. I hope James Avery takes this seriously and addresses issues of racial sensitivity and equal treatment within this location. this is not an isolated incident. after reading other reviews describing poor customer service and experiences of racism, it’s clear this is a recurring problem. i expect this to be taken seriously and for something to be done to address it.
