I made an appointment here because someone referred me, and my stylist was very kind. I asked for natural partial caramel highlights, explaining that I had spent months trying to repair my hair and make it healthy again and that I didn’t want to over-bleach it because I didn’t want to damage it severely. My stylist put the bleach on very quickly, and proceeded to work on another client’s hair. After 30-40 minutes, I became increasingly nervous because I’ve never had caramel highlights take that long to develop. I noticed she seemed she was rushing on the other client trying to get back to my hair, and I didn’t know what to do because I didn’t want to offend her by asking if the foils were supposed to still be in. I thought she forgot about me for a while. She came back to me and rinsed, and my hair was much lighter than I wanted. I will be honest and say that I told my stylist I was happy with my hair because I wasn’t looking at it closely in the beginning; while she styled my hair, I did notice a piece in the front that was uneven, but I didn’t say anything. I paid for it and was told I couldn’t tip with card, so I drove to the ATM to take cash out and returned with a tip. As soon as I got in the car, I noticed the front was a bit uneven and stringy, but it wasn’t a big deal. It was hours before I realized the back was just horrendous. I ended up having to have my dad cut a couple inches of my hair off because the ends were fried. Maybe my stylist was just having an off day, and she was very sweet, but for the sake of other clients, I have to share my experience. I will have to spend months color-correcting, trying to repair the damage, and growing out my hair again.

Been coming here for almost 20 years now. Mike and Ashley have always been great. Mike cuts my hair mostly but when hes off Ashley does it. They're both great and very good at what they do. I see the bad reviews on here from some people but hard to believe its the group that i see every time I come here. Its probably the customer that is the problem.

Kathy always does such a good job doing my hair! Shes been cutting my hair for years and even the first time shes done calico style turned out so well !

I had an appointment at LN Beauty Express in Houston for highlights, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Emily was my stylist. I showed her clear pictures and videos of the color I wanted, but the results were nothing like what I asked for. She applied bleach to my hair and left it on for over an hour and a half — twice — claiming she couldn’t achieve the color because I’ve used dark dye to cover greys before. I’ve had highlights done before without issues, so this explanation didn’t make sense. After washing, toning, and doing a softening treatment, I noticed severe breakage where the bleach had been applied twice. When I pointed this out, she dismissed it as “just a little bit.” I was so upset I started crying. When I asked what could be done, she simply said, “You tell me what you want to do,” instead of offering a professional solution. The other staff weren’t helpful either and only suggested toning my hair darker to hide the damage. Now my hair has four different shades, severe breakage, and I’ll have to spend more money and time repairing it. Overall, it felt like Emily lacked proper professional knowledge, and I would not recommend this salon to anyone. Very disappointed! The photo attached doesn’t justify the damage:(

Not only did she listen carefully to what I wanted, but she also offered great suggestions that truly elevated the look. The best part? The prices are absolutely unbeatable for the quality of service! I've paid much more elsewhere for less amazing results. If you're looking for a fantastic stylist at a price that won't break the bank, this is the place to go!
