Meet Fresh Katy

Nut allergy WARNING: Yeah, they use a LOT of nuts here. The nice person making our order did verify with me on everything, including sesame, and I was fine with our order. Would be very careful because they don't mark all of the dishes correctly - some things with almonds still do not have the nut allergy marking. We got here around 10PM, where was actually some parking in a normally packed plaza. Time-to-Order: 5 Minutes We went with a red bean milk shaved ice dish with mochi and happily shared it among five people. I'd say it's definitely sharable with 4, maybe with 2, and would be a ton to eat for one person. It's nicely separated where you can grab bites of whatever you want to try. The space is great for hanging out. Would definitely come back.

Overall, I had a pretty good experience here. Meet Fresh is always one of my go-to places when I’m craving Taiwanese-style desserts, and this location in Katy has a nice variety of options. We ordered a taro-based dessert and one of their shaved ice bowls with multiple toppings. The presentation looked great, and the portion size was generous. I really liked the red beans, grass jelly, and taro balls — they had good texture and weren’t overly sweet. The sweetness level overall was balanced, which I appreciate since some dessert places can be too sugary. That said, the taro chunks we had that day were a little on the firmer side. I was expecting them to be softer and more creamy. It wasn’t bad, just slightly less smooth than I’ve had at other locations. It could have just been that batch. The store itself was clean and spacious, and it’s a good spot to hang out with friends after dinner. Staff were fine and service was fairly quick when we went. I would still come back, especially for the shaved ice and taro balls. If the taro texture is a bit softer next time, it would easily be a perfect experience.

I’ve noticed a pattern at this Meet Fresh location. Almost every time there’s a brand promotion advertised both in the app and on the posters in the store, redeeming it becomes unnecessarily difficult. Today was the latest example. They have a Father’s Day promotion that clearly states June 20–30: buy two drinks and get one free milk tea or wintermelon tea. When I tried to redeem it, the employee immediately told me, “It’s only for Father’s Day.” I pointed out that the poster clearly says June 20–30, and after checking, they honored it. The promotion was already programmed into their POS system exactly as advertised, so there was never an issue with eligibility. This isn’t the first time I’ve had to question an advertised promotion here. It feels like customers are expected to accept “no” unless they know the details and push back. That’s frustrating and reflects poorly on the Meet Fresh brand. If this franchise location doesn’t want to participate in corporate promotions, they shouldn’t advertise them or operate under the Meet Fresh name. Customers shouldn’t have to argue to receive promotions that are clearly advertised and already built into the register system.

Friendly staff and great food! My guilt free dessert shop, with large portion sizes. I love the flavors and always get fruits. It's a great treat with every bite being exciting.

We stopped here on a whim after having dinner. We ordered the matcha shaved ice to share, and everyone loved it.
