Mr. Tofu Vietnamese Kitchen - Garland

2nd visit: Came back to try more dishes. The fried chicken with rice was really good—crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. However, the egg noodle and chicken broth were only room temperature when served, and the dish itself was quite bland and not worth ordering. They kindly offered to reheat it, but unfortunately they microwaved the entire bowl, which made the crispy chicken soggy. That felt careless and took away from the experience. 1st visit: The restaurant has very cute decor and a welcoming atmosphere. They’re known for their chicken dishes, and you can tell the quality is high—free-range and well-prepared. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The only small miss was that they forgot the salad sauce.

We were seated quickly and ordered the dry chicken noodles, Hoi An chicken rice, banana blossom chicken salad, hot tofu with ginger syrup, egg coffee, and a whole fried chicken to go. The food came out quickly and was good overall. The dry chicken noodles were the highlight—the noodles had a great texture, and the sauce was flavorful. The soup served alongside was also delicious, with nicely sliced green onions that added a fresh touch. The only downside was the fried shallots, which tasted like store-bought dehydrated shallots rather than freshly fried homemade ones, making them less appetizing. The main issue was with the drinks and dessert. I specifically asked for the tofu dessert and egg coffee to be served with the meal since my mom wanted to enjoy them while eating, but they never arrived. We finished our food and had to ask the server about them. Even then, they took quite a while to come out. The table next to us was also checking on their drink order. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the service needs improvement, especially when it comes to drink and dessert timing.

This is one of the new restaurants knowns for Vietnamese grilled chicken. We came in as family. Ordered a chicken, pilau, seafood noodle and papaya salad with chicken. Overall experience was okay. The food didn't really live up to the hype of the famous chicken. The location is central of Garland Vietnamese community but the price was still high compared to local restaurants. I will suggest the tourist only to try once and find out the experience yourself. The service was the atmosphere and customer service to make up the overall experience. The food is okay. 🍗🐓❤️

Best Vietnamese food I’ve had in a while. Everything is marinated so well and authentic, maybe just a little more lemongrass for a better kick in taste, just a personal preference. Complimentary tofu in ginger syrup was a nice suprise from the owner. However the employees honestly should be more friendly. Overall reasonable price as there are plenty of leftover. Will be back to try other dishes!

Went with my husband and baby the other day and service was so nice that we definitely want to come back to try more! We ordered com ga xoi mo and banh pho kho. The Com ga xoi mo was good and the broth it came with was also good. The banh pho kho was lacking a little flavor in the sauce but it was terrible. I’ve had better. I did wish the chicken for the banh pho kho was cut up a bit more. It was kinda a chore to eat the chicken of it. We got two desserts that were both very good!! The tau hu thai sau rieng and tau hu Duong. Both so good we would come back for it. Plus all of the servers and staff were so nice to us 💕
