Pho Ben Sugar Land - Telfair

We ordered shaking beef. They gave us boiled meat. 7 small pieces. With a heap of rice. Charging $15.50 for 7 SMALL pieces of beef. These pictures were right after they delivered the plates to our table. They were not accommodating either. Would recommend just going to the highway 6 location :) Better service and better food on the other location.

My family visited this restaurant again, hoping things had improved, but we were disappointed once more. We’ve been coming here since they first opened, and our last two visits were already bad experiences. We decided to give them one final chance, but unfortunately, nothing has changed. Food: I ordered the small Bun Bo Hue ($12) w/o pork ham, only four very thin slices of beef, and a small amount of vermicelli. I was honestly shocked by how little food was in the bowl for the price. We also ordered the grilled beef spring rolls, and they were only about the size of two fingers. The beef was so chewy that I couldn’t even swallow it. Service: The service was just as disappointing as the food. When we were ready to order, we looked around for a server, but no one came to our table. Two servers were cleaning a table nearby, but they ignored us even after we said, “Excuse me.” Meanwhile, the other servers were standing behind the bar chatting and looking at their phones while customers were trying to get their attention. After giving this restaurant multiple chances over the years, it’s disappointing to see that neither the food nor the service has improved. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience. While eating my pho, I found a piece of paper towel in the soup. That’s something that should never happen in a kitchen if proper care and attention are being taken. It honestly made me question the cleanliness and standards of the entire place. Restaurants should make sure they have the right cooks and staff in the kitchen who pay attention to what they’re serving to customers. Finding something like that in my food is unacceptable and completely ruined my appetite. Because of this experience, I won’t be coming back again. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their kitchen standards.

Excellent food! I ordered from DoorDash. It came fast and was really delicious. I got the pho chin ñam, goi cvon dav hv, and the bahn mi Bo nuong. The pho was probably the most flavorful broth I’ve had with lots of meat. The tofu spring rolls had a big block of tofu. The beef sandwich was absolutely loaded with meat and came with two sandwiches! I’ll definitely be visiting the store.

I have been to 4 of the 5 Pho Ben restaurants around Houston. This one is the worst among the ones I've been to, starting with the hardest door to open and the blurriest menu I've ever seen in a restaurant, which makes me wonder if this location was even open before First Colony. There are many workers, but somehow it's difficult to get someone to take our order. The portion of food is also the smallest compared to other locations. The broth and content are like 7:3. There are better Pho Ben locations. I don't recommend this one.
