Shaahi Biryani

We tried the halal Hyderabadi food, and it was fabulous! The mutton biryani was very tasty. We felt it could have had a little more masala, but it was still delicious and had the authentic dum biryani style. We also tried the butter chicken, which was okay, and the Dum Ka Chicken, which we really enjoyed. The customer service was friendly, and the seating and décor created a nice, comfortable atmosphere. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily visit again!

Very Bad Experience! I ordered a family pack chicken biryani for takeout around 8:30 PM. When we opened it around 10:30 PM, the biryani had already spoiled and had a foul smell, making it completely inedible. I immediately called the restaurant to inform them, but instead of addressing the issue, they denied that anything could be wrong. They mentioned that they had opened several pots that day and that no other customers had complained. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to throw the entire order in the trash, which was both disappointing and a waste of money. I'm attaching a video for reference to show the condition of the food. That said, I also want to acknowledge something positive. The condiments served with the biryani—especially the achar and the yellow capsicum side—were very flavorful and delicious. I only wish the chicken biryani had been maintained to the same standard of quality and freshness. I hope the restaurant takes food quality and customer concerns more seriously in the future.

The mindset of a fast food joint when single issue paper napkins, tea cup size plastic cups for drinks, no dinner knives etc. become the norm for what passes as service. Food is dumped at the edge of the table. Fresh naan is interleaved with "slightly aged" naan. The bill payment is solicited before dessert can be finished. Will this be the norm or will management conduct some elementary training for the staff? The Frontier Chicken became too dry halfway through the meal. Nobody bothered to check that the fixins' needed replenishment. The Patthar Ka Gosht was delightful owing to careful trimming of the meat and patient grilling (well done for South Asian palates and no trace of medium rare in any of the slices). The Goat Biryani was flavorful but it did not manifest the "dum" signature. No complaints because it is tough to serve it consistently throughout the day in batches. The "dum" is lost and so is the art of plating it. Let's hope that the restaurant gets chances to serve it the traditional way at large festive occasions. Will you hold your "dum" for that opportunity?

I went here most recently on Saturday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. (I have been before). The lighting, tables, and chairs feel like an upscale restaurant and the staff are friendly. I ordered my usual, the Family Pack Biryani (Chicken), which is Hyderabadi style, and the taste was good. They top the Family Pack with some Chicken 65. All the chicken was super fresh, soft, and moist. I take the extra home and enjoy it for a couple days afterwards. I also ordered the Dal Tadka, and I prefer when this is super thick, but it was very tasty. We also ordered a kabob. They opened in late 2025, and so are still quite new. Please go check them out and support them!

Absolutely loved the Shahi Biryani — full of rich flavors and perfectly cooked! 😍 The mix platter is next-level delicious, offering a great variety all in one. Every single item was yummy and packed with taste. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic and flavorful food!
