I took my son here because our regular family doctor was out, and we were told over the phone that the visit would be $30, with extra charges only if additional testing was needed. The check-in process was easy and the wait was short, but the actual visit was very disappointing. Before properly examining my son, the provider immediately said it sounded like flu/COVID and that he would need multiple tests, including flu, COVID, and strep. This was before checking his ears, throat, breathing, or doing a full exam. The cost quickly went from a $30 visit to around $225–$255 with testing, which felt very misleading. The provider’s attitude was also poor. When checking my son’s throat, he was rough with the tongue depressor and made my son gag, then seemed frustrated with him instead of being patient. The strep/throat swab was also done aggressively, which made my son tear up. Overall, the bedside manner was not what I would expect from a clinic treating children. After the test, I was told he had strep, but the paperwork said tonsillitis, which was confusing. They also sent prescriptions to the pharmacy without asking whether my son could swallow pills or needed liquid medicine. They prescribed pills even though his throat hurt, and also prescribed ibuprofen even though I already had that at home and was never asked if I needed it. The pharmacy had to help fix the prescription to liquid form. The entire experience felt unprofessional, rushed, and focused more on adding tests than actually listening to the parent or treating the child with care. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this clinic for children. Update: The clinic replied with what appears to be a generic template response and left “[email/phone]” in the message instead of providing actual contact information. This does not make me feel that the complaint was taken seriously or reviewed carefully. I will not be following up further. After this experience, I do not feel comfortable bringing my family back here, and I will not be recommending this clinic to anyone.

I went in telling the doc how I was feeling and I basically “self diagnosed “ myself but I’m no doctor so I was incorrect doctor went based of that and gave me medication not just any he gave me the WRONG medication so I ended up at the hospital and his lack of knowledge apparently caused me to have something else due to those side effects of the medication he wrongfully prescribed not only that they lied about the test they were running on me and had the audacity to charge me $300 mind you the consult is $30 he tried explaining he tried to brush it off and make me sound like I didn’t know. Not only that my mom goes in 2-3 weeks after for her own reasons the “doctor “ told her 1 price and the receptionist tried getting more $$ out of her and when my mom corrected her she acted clueless which she did fix so we appreciate that, seems like they’re just trying to take peoples money wrongfully and I know most people that go are Hispanics. My mom use to rave about the doctor there being very good turns out the time I went and this last time she also went it was a complete different doctor who was careless towards us ( he wasn’t aware we were family so definitely not a coincidence) so just becareful and make sure to triple check what you’re paying for and who yall are going too.

ASK TO SEE MD OR DO LICENSE, Unprofessional experience and questionable billing practices. I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism from both the staff and the physician. The pricing felt completely arbitrary, and the 'physical examination' was essentially nonexistent. It felt as though the final diagnosis was simply a repeat of what I told them, rather than a professional medical evaluation. I am genuinely concerned about how this practice is allowed to operate. Save your time and money and go elsewhere for actual medical care. To your response: Tu Clínica Hispana Familiar, I had no idea that this clinic operates with a mixture of ​Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) we never seen a licensed medical doctor... Red flag for sure. In Texas, all medical providers must be clearly identified. Texas Medical Board (TMB) website. If they aren't listed as a physician (MD or DO), or if they are a Physician Assistant (PA) practicing without making their role clear, you can file a formal complaint.The "Language Access" Issue, which includes ensuring you understand your child's diagnosis in English.i asked for English speaking person i was put on hold for awhile, the lady that picked up phone could not speak or understand English. All of what we we're put through is unprofessional and unacceptable. I will being taking action.

​If you are looking for a clinic that is patient with children, look elsewhere. My son was essentially traumatized by the aggressive way the staff handled his exam. They were frustrated by his gag reflex and performed a strep swab so roughly and suddenly that it brought him to tears. ​The atmosphere changed completely once we declined the extra testing they suggested. It felt like we were being treated based on how much money they could get out of us rather than the medical need. No child should be treated like a nuisance for having a natural reaction to a medical procedure. Very shady clinic and all the 5 star reviews seem the same. Wouldn't surprise me if they told the patients to write a good review for a few extra dollars off their visit. The dr tried to negotiate the pricing when refusing some unnecessary testing. Felt like we were at the pawn shop. Ridiculous.
