A hidden gym. This place opened up close to where I grew up and the experience was amazing. Took my mom here last night for dinner - she is typically very picky, but was super impressed with their Hanoi specialties. She raved about how the taste of the food brought back memories of her childhood in Vietnam, a taste she hadn't had since she left Vietnam as one of the Boat People in 1975. Our server was attentive, patient and kind. The decor and presentation of the food impeccable. We would like to thank the wait staff and kitchen for a memorable experience.

An excellent Vietnamese dining experience that impressed us both in flavour and presentation. We started with a few appetizers, beautifully plated and thoughtfully presented. One of the highlights was the spoon-served appetizer, which was well seasoned, aromatic, and nicely balanced — crispy on the outside with good texture and flavour. The presentation was elegant and showed attention to detail. The pho was outstanding. The broth was clear, fragrant, and deeply flavourful, with good depth and balance. The beef was tender, and the noodles were cooked just right. Fresh herbs, lime, and condiments were served on the side, allowing you to customise the taste — exactly how good pho should be enjoyed. Overall, the food had a refined, modern bistro presentation while still staying true to authentic Vietnamese flavours. The ambience was warm, cozy, and stylish, making it a comfortable place for both casual dining and special occasions. Service was smooth and attentive throughout. Overall, a top-tier Vietnamese bistro with excellent food quality, beautiful presentation, and a welcoming atmosphere. A clear 5-star experience, and definitely a place worth returning to.

I absolutely love V Lotus! The food is consistently excellent, with such a great variety of options on the menu — there’s something for everyone. It’s especially great for vegetarians, with plenty of delicious choices that don’t feel like an afterthought. The staff are always so friendly and genuinely go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience, which makes such a difference. The spicy edamame is yummy! Only picture I remembered to take! I visit multiple times every time I’m in Houston, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Tucked away on LJ Parkway, this place has the kind of atmosphere that reminds me of a cozy mom-and-pop restaurant you might stumble into in Ho Chi Minh City; warm wood tables, plants scattered around the dining room, and a casual, welcoming vibe that feels lived in rather than staged. It’s quaint, comfortable, and the kind of spot where you settle in and let the table fill with dishes. Let’s start with the mango salad. It’s bright, fresh, and beautifully plated. The balance leans a little more tangy than I personally prefer, but the crisp vegetables and herbs make it a refreshing opener. Then there’s the tamarind beef salad, which is absolutely delicious. The tamarind brings that perfect sweet-sour punch, and the beef is tender with just the right amount of richness. It’s the kind of dish where every bite wakes up your palate. The whole red snapper deserves special mention. Fresh seafood can sometimes carry that strong, gamey ocean flavor, but not here. The fish is clean, delicate, and perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. It’s a dish that shows real care from the kitchen. But the true star of the show is the shaking beef. The sauce alone is worth the visit. It’s deep, savory, slightly sweet, and so good you’ll find yourself wanting a bowl of rice just to soak up every last drop. If you order one thing here, make it that. For groups or families, the President Vermicelli of Hanoi is a fantastic starter to share. It’s colorful, flavorful, and perfect for passing around the table while everyone digs in. And if you’re dining with kids, don’t overlook the kids’ chicken nuggets. They’re shockingly good. Crispy, juicy, and so popular with my kids that we usually end up ordering more than one basket. Now, I’ll be honest: the prices here are a little higher than what you typically see for Vietnamese cuisine. But this isn’t your everyday pho stop. The quality of ingredients, the presentation, and the care in the cooking make it feel more like a special-occasion Vietnamese restaurant, and in that context, it absolutely feels worth it. The service is consistently top tier. The waiters and waitresses are friendly, attentive, and patient, and the kitchen has always been incredibly accommodating when it comes to my kids’ allergies; something parents will appreciate. Another thing worth noting is the location. Sugar Land doesn’t have many Vietnamese restaurants in this part of town, so V Lotus fills a niche that’s been missing. And they do it with style. All told, V Lotus delivers great food, thoughtful service, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer than planned. If you’re in Sugar Land and looking for Vietnamese food that feels just a bit elevated, the kind of meal where the table slowly fills with dishes and conversation, V Lotus is well worth the visit.

Delicious, innovative food and fantastic atmosphere. They considered every detail of the dining experience. I had the Hai Phong fish soup, which was beautiful and tasty. The fish tanks and the decor add a lot to the experience. Recommend!
