I think the service here depends on the technician you get. I had my nails done today with Ron Bond(dip on natural nails with chrome nail art) and he is the first nail technician I've had that didn't try and mutilate my cuticles. 😂 He also shaped them better than previous salons had and according to my personal preferences. Ron was both a great listener and communicated ideas that were better than the ones I showed him on Instagram. The salon seemed clean and modern had quite a few options for color and styles for designs.

Loved my experience here, will comeback and I recommend Ashley for my mani and pedi!! She did a great job. My feet have never felt so nice, she took her time and made everything look so perfect. SO MANY COLORS!!!

I swear the nail angels were looking after me when I walked into this place early Jan! I’ve been back every other week ever since! Sona (pronounced Sonya!) is an expert nail tech that is not only lightning fast but precision oriented with a bad ass arm massage to boot ! I can’t say enough GREAT things about her services really ! Next.. there is Peter! This guy has been certified (in China 🇨🇳 !) as an acupuncturist & massage therapist. SO.. not ONLY will your toes frikkin sparkle but your massage will be an actual(!) pressure point healing massage that will leave you smiling from ear to ear.. ! I have only one last pro tip when booking your treatments here… add on more massage time! You’re getting the best ! I promise you … it will be the best part of your day & your body will thank you for this self love care ! God speed & good luck in booking them too! Just don’t take my spots! lol 😛

I used to come here all the time and had a consistently good experience, but I switched when my technician moved on. My technician couldn’t accommodate an appt in time so I came back for a gel mani. Vincent did my manicure. First, he wore only one glove, and he used his ungloved fingernail to scrape excess polish from my cuticle several times, which was obviously unhygienic and pretty gross. He shaped every fingernail differently (oval vs square for example), and made no effort to match the lengths (thumb versus other thumb, etc.). The end result was weirdly thick because he didn’t remove enough of the builder gel I had on my nails, and he didn’t try to slope the nail down so it was thin at the end like a normal nail. It took him less than 30 min for the entire mani so he was obviously in a rush (even though I had made an appt). When I checked out the manager (female, has been there forever) was dismissive when I told her about the ungloved fingernail scraping maneuver, quickly saying “every technician has their own technique.” I showed her the inconsistent and sloppy results and she couldn’t have cared less. I got the the feeling she gets plenty of complaints and they think people make them to get out of paying or something (even though I had already paid - and tipped!). I obviously won’t be back.

I had such high hopes for this place based on the reviews. However....it has only been 8 days and I have already lost 5 nails and 3 others are lifting off. At all other salons I have been to, I have NEVER lost a nail before to GelX. In fact, I can usually go close to a month without them even slightly lifting. I am very disappointed for the amount of money I spent.
