Wu Wei Din Chinese Cuisine

Food: Built up an appetite to try out one of Plano’s highly reviewed Chinese restaurants. Ordered the Ma-Po Tofu, Taiwanese Pork Chop Rice, Spicy Wonton (Pork & Shrimp), and Cucumber Salad. I don’t claim to be a Mapo Tofu snob, but I’d rank this pretty up there, from a flavor and spice standpoint. The Taiwanese Pork Chop Rice and Spicy Wonton were also great; although, I would have preferred the pork chop to be a bit juicier. Lastly, the Cucumber Salad had a nice marinade, with a nice crunch on the cucumbers themselves. Their menu is relatively extensive, making for another visit a must. Service: No wait on a Saturday afternoon. There were only a few tables occupied in the main dining area, but we were seated in a relatively secluded section to the right of the restaurant. Overall, service was OK—our food came out soon after it was ordered, and we were well attended to. Ambiance: Casual, traditional. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.

Ordered the crab rangoon, qq potstickers, chicken flat rice noodle, and pork wonton noodles with spicy sauce. The crab rangoon had a lot of green onions and the taste was not to my liking. The potstickers were crispy and very good. The flat rice noodles was a huge portion. It tasted really good. The chicken was not dry and it had a nice flavor. The pork wonton noodles were very flavorful. It wasn't very spicy. The restaurant was very clean and the service was good.

I think this will be one of our new go-to spots! Everything we got was good, and there were so many things on the menu we wanted to try! We got a lot of tea to start and it was very smooth and calming. Then we tried the shrimp and pork soup dumpings and the kimchi and pork pot stickers. The pot stickers were the best! We got the combination low mein, orange chicken, and mapo tofu. All absolutely incredible! The orange chicken is the best I've ever had. And the low mein may be as well. I've never had a dish like the tofu before but the spicy flavor and texture of the tofu was so complimentary and satisfying! It is large portions (although I wish there was a bit more orange chicken). Then to finish we tried the taro rolls - if you love taro you will love these! Amazing! Great service and ambiance. Will be back for sure!

Our favorites for soup dumplings! As close to din tai fung as you can get- I just wish they had chocolate dumplings too! All of our dishes have been great but favorites for kids and adults were the orange chicken, pork soup dumplings, mince pork and noodles and wonton soup!

My wife is pregnant, and we ordered the Taiwanese Pork Chop Rice through DoorDash. Halfway through the meal, we watched a live cockroach crawl out of the pickled mustard greens. We had already eaten part of the meal before discovering it. This was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. We immediately threw the entire meal away. This is a serious food safety issue. I will never order from this restaurant again.
