620 massage is a massage therapist in San Francisco, CA, serving locals and visitors from its Valencia Street location in the Mission District. For people searching for practical bodywork in the city, this spot stands out for consistent availability, everyday hours from late morning to evening, and a straightforward approach to massage. With a 4.2 rating across 43 reviews, 620 massage has built a reputation as a place many customers return to when they want focused work on tension, soreness, and overall muscle relief rather than a luxury spa experience.

Reviews suggest that the style here leans toward Chinese-style massage, which may feel different from what some guests expect at a typical spa. Several customers specifically mention deep muscle relaxation, acupressure, and back walking, pointing to treatments that can be more targeted and therapeutic. Repeat visitors also note that individual therapists can shape the experience in different ways, with reviewers calling out names such as Phillip, Susan, and Coraline for attentive work and strong results. For people dealing with tight shoulders, back discomfort, or general body fatigue, the appeal of 620 massage seems to be hands-on care that focuses on what the body needs in the moment.

The atmosphere appears clean and recently updated, with some customers appreciating the renovation and improved look of the interior. At the same time, reviews make it clear that this is not a polished, whisper-quiet resort spa. A few guests mention a more functional setting, including shared sound from nearby rooms, so it helps to come in with expectations centered on massage quality and relief instead of luxury ambiance. That honest, no-frills environment may suit clients who care most about effective bodywork, reasonable pricing, and a convenient neighborhood location in San Francisco.

Because 620 massage is open seven days a week from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, it can be a useful option for weekday appointments, weekend self-care, or last-minute sessions after a long day. Reviews also mention friendly staff and good communication, which can matter when discussing pressure, technique, or personal comfort. One review notes an extra fee for pregnant women, a practical detail that may be helpful for planning ahead. Overall, 620 massage is a solid choice in San Francisco, California for people who want accessible massage therapy, deeper pressure options, and therapists that many repeat customers trust.

For nearby residents, workers, and anyone exploring Valencia Street, 620 massage offers a neighborhood massage option that feels grounded in results. It may be especially well suited for adults looking for deep tissue-style relief, acupressure, or a session tailored toward muscle tension rather than spa rituals. If your priority is feeling physically worked on, not pampered, this San Francisco massage practice is worth considering.

I went after the recent renovation. Having gone here over the years occasionally, I have noticed the changes in the services here. It is a Chinese style massage so for some people they might not be used to the methods. The interior looks a lot nicer after renovation, but it seems that they sacrificed the quality of service for aesthetics. The staff don't seem too well informed about the services. And they changed the combo service so that you now get up off the chair where the foot soak and massage are done and go to another room to get your back and legs massaged. This was a bit disjointed. I preferred the style of massage where you remain clothed and the massage is more like tui na versus Swedish and you remain in a big chair that converts to a table. At least the foot massage was mostly the same. The massage therapist gave me a massage that still made me feel relaxed, but I would wonder if there are ones who might have a little more energy. Overall, it is an affordable massage in a convenient location but don't expect the most peaceful and quiet spa experience if you're in the front. The new massage room in the back is quite nice. The new location of the massage chairs by the door was a tad bit noisy. I hope that the new owner continues to tweak and improve the service.

This place does not create a relaxing environment for a massage first of all. The room looks like it’s about to operate lobotomy rather than a massage. The red light created a gas station hot dog ambiance and did not warm me up at all. The massage therapist I had, I am not sure if he is actually a license therapist. And he was coughing the whole time for the first 5 mins and I asked if there’s another person instead since he didn’t seem well but he just stepped out and coughed more and came back and resumed massaging and i was really uncomfortable. This place doesn’t seem like it should be operation. And the walls are not floor to ceiling and I can hear people next room. It was so uncomfortable. Worst experience. Do not recommend.

My friend and I found a great spa, I have never had such a good massage, deep muscle relaxation, acupressure, back walking, I tried them all, Coraline was amazing, reasonably priced, clean, Neat and beautiful. Staff are friendly and communication is good. There is an extra $10 for pregnant women. My friend is 5 months pregnant and she likes her masseur Sofia very much. Because her friend is 5 months pregnant, her masseur is very gentle. My friend told her that she can enjoy strong force. The whole process is full of force. She is very happy. After the massage, pay with your card. Square charges a fee of US$3, which is very reasonable. Tipping is voluntary. You can also choose custom to tip according to the service you enjoy. You can also follow Square’s recommendation. There are 3 options, 28% and 35%. 40 %, I chose custom.Amazing place! Will definitely be back! I definitely would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been here over a dozen times, I’ve lost count and filled 2 rewards cards. The first massage by a woman felt good but left me too sore the next day, now I only go to Phillip. (Thanks for the rec here in the reviews) He always feels into whatever my body needs. It’s not a massage to go to for the ambiance but if you need regular body work at a great price, join as a member or take advantage of two punch Tuesdays. These perks are part of their great rewards program for regular customers. Looking forward to my next massage.

Incredible massage at an incredible price. I’ve gone to both Phillip and Susan, and both were amazing. For women - you can remove clothing with Susan but leave pants and a loose t-shirt on for Phillip. Don’t expect a fancy spa, the rooms have open lofted ceilings so you can hear people (nbd, just enjoy the massage). Now the only place I’ll go to!
