Standing at the door 5:28pm after calling and and making sure they are not closing early. Knocked for 5 minutes while watching them ignore me. Now is 5:33pm and they are sitting at the counter and the door to the back just chatting.

The woman working up front was borderline discriminatory. After this experience, I recommend buying trusted products online. My Asian friend asked me to go with her to the store to get hair products. The woman with blonde braids acted like she couldn’t understand her, and treated her like an idoit… when I repeated verbatim what my friend had said, there were no issues… my friend is the one with a license, not me. My friend is your customer, not me. After showing us the product, my friend had a few questions. This female staff member answered some of my friends questions, but directed the answers to me instead of her. When my friend would being to ask another question, she cut her off saying “listen”… aka “shut up”. It was as if she did not want to sell her the products. When it came time to pay, this woman took the card out of my friends hands as if she was too stupid to operate a freakin debit card. Unfortunately, my friend spent over $200 for this very uncomfortable experience. Very unprofessional, and borderline discriminatory. After we left, my friend confided in me that she had asked me to go with her because that woman always behaves that way and treats her “less than”. The other staff member (who was being ran around by the woman with braids) was very helpful and patient with us. For the woman with braids, just because someone does not speak English as their first language, does NOT mean they are dumb. It does NOT mean they can’t afford your products. It does mean that they put in the EFFORT to learn a new language, and it does mean they are incredibly BRAVE to hold a conversation with someone like yourself!

The people that work there are pretty awesome. What gets a 1 star (and only because it is the lowest possible score option) is the owner. Has zero people skills. Will reprimand you in front of staff and customers and talk at you as if the situation is your fault, when OBVIOUSLY it is not! I still go there only because of the staff. Otherwise, no way would I bother with this establishment@
