Located along Satellite Boulevard, Banh Mi Café has established itself as a go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Duluth, GA, serving up honest, traditional street eats with heart. At the core of the shop is an experienced owner who has been honing the craft of making Vietnamese sandwiches for over 15 years. That decade-and-a-half of dedication shines through in every loaf of bread baked and every filling prepared. With hundreds of positive reviews and an impressive 4.6-star standing, this humble neighborhood spot draws food lovers from across Gwinnett County who crave comforting flavors that feel just like home.
The centerpiece of the menu is undoubtedly the bánh mì, built on freshly baked French-style baguettes featuring that sought-after balance: a delightfully thin, crackly crust giving way to an airy, soft, and fluffy interior. Guests often praise popular selections like the B2 and B3 sandwiches, which arrive generously packed with proteins and vibrant garnishes. Whether you prefer the sweet and savory caramelized notes of thịt nướng (grilled pork), flavorful nem nướng, or traditional cold cuts layered with rich, aromatic house-made pâté, there is a profile to satisfy every palate. Pickled daikon and carrots, crisp cucumber, fresh cilantro, and a kick of jalapeño round out each sandwich, offering the classic contrast of textures and temperatures that makes authentic street sandwiches unforgettable.
Beyond the authentic flavor combinations, diners frequently highlight the unbeatable combination of generous portions and accessible pricing. In a dining market where quick meals can quickly become costly, this shop stands out by offering hearty, substantial sandwiches that are surprisingly large and wallet-friendly. It is the type of everyday gem where you can consistently grab a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. The kitchen works efficiently, meaning walk-in guests and commuters can easily pick up a fresh order on the go, making it a reliable staple during busy weekday lunch rushes.
The atmosphere inside the dining room is casual, compact, and completely unpretentious. Designed primarily for quick stops, casual dining, and fast takeout, the café welcomes solo diners, nearby office workers, and families looking for a relaxed meal. Open seven days a week—operating until 7:00 PM on Mondays and Sundays, and until 8:00 PM from Tuesday through Saturday—it fits seamlessly into any schedule. Whether you are stocking up on a box of sandwiches for a weekend gathering or stopping in for a quick bite after work, Banh Mi Café brings reliable Vietnamese culinary traditions directly to Duluth.

Met the owner and he’s been making banh mi for 15 years. Fantastic flavor and there is a good deal. Highly recommend stopping by
A solid banh mi spot for $5.50 a sandwich. The thit nuong is a bit too sweet, having a thick sweet glaze on it that's a little overpowering. Needs more of a grilled taste to the meat VS just being sweet. The bread was nice with a soft fluffy inside. Fast service. Tables were sticky upon sitting which was not pleasant. Would still come back if I wanted a quick lunch in the area
Delicious Banh Mi sandwiches!!! Picked up the B2 and B3 and they were so tasty and flavorful and surprisingly big compared to other restaurants around town. Friendly service! Will definitely be coming back to try more meals!
little and not too busy when i came in! banh mi was solid, but pate was a more funkier version than what i’ve had before
This is one of the only 2 place I would go for bánh mì. I was so disappointed with what I got yesterday. I took 4 bites into the bánh mì but the proteins were no where to be found. Then I open up the bánh mì to found what were in the picture, the nem nướng were so burn. All I could only tasted were like the burn charcoal!! I had also ordered the Thịt nướng for my daughter, and specifically asked no veggies. So my daughter wasn’t happy with that as well. Overall bad experience, I would not ever want to revisit!! I’m very disappointed, because this was one of the place I recommended the most for anyone whose ask me for bánh mì place. I want to support their business and continue to coming. However thei consistency is no where to be found. They were rushing to took the phone order.
