This is the type of place that you’re lucky if you stumble upon. Stay a while and chat with the owner— She’s a bad ass that makes amazing fresh food. Made with love and attention. Love the bread served with the bond meat in the herby crunch of the veggies.

Decent, but far from life-changing, this neighborhood Vietnamese will satisfy a fix in an area with such few Southeast Asian options. Bun Bo Danang, a less lemongrass spicy version of its distant Hue cousin. Clean broth, but not much more to say. The old lady chef-operator is darling sweet. Ample outdoor seating.

One of the authentic Vietnamese restaurants in SF. The dish generally seemed to be prepared with clean and delicate flavors, minimally used artificial seasoning. Even the peanuts in the sauce tasted good as if they were just roasted, and the broth of pho was neat, not heavy, with a subtle blend of various flavors. The restaurant chef/owner made small talks kindly sharing stories about herself and we had a good time thanks to her.

I ordered the grilled pork Vermicelli and couldn't be any more disappointed. The owner tried to trick me to tell me what I got wsd grilled pork, but it was actually cold pulled pork (look at my picture and you decide). Food quantity was dismal and only filled up half the take-out box. Flavor was bland, pork was cold, no Bueno!

Fantastic Duck Bahn Mi! Damn the duck was good, and the bread was perfect vehicle for this format. Owner is very nice :) I want to return and try the Canton clay pot special. Note: on my scale, her "spicy" was about my medium
