Boss Supermarket is an Asian grocery store in San Francisco, CA serving shoppers in the Sunset District who want practical everyday ingredients in one stop. Located at 2551 Noriega St, this neighborhood market is a familiar option for people looking for Chinese cooking staples, fresh produce, seafood, meat, tofu, and pantry items without making a special trip across town. With daily hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, it fits easily into regular errands and routine shopping.

What stands out most at Boss Supermarket is the range of products mentioned again and again by customers. Shoppers often point to ingredients for the Chinese kitchen, along with fresh fruits, Asian vegetables, meats, and live fish. Others mention seafood, tofu, and general Asian food items, which makes the store useful for home cooks preparing soups, stir-fries, braised dishes, hot pot meals, and simple everyday family dinners. If you are searching for an Asian grocery store in San Francisco where you can browse produce and proteins in the same visit, this market offers a straightforward, no-frills shopping experience centered on essential ingredients rather than presentation.

That makes it a practical stop for families, students, and anyone trying to stretch their grocery budget while still buying familiar Asian ingredients. The atmosphere described by customers is more functional than polished: a neighborhood market where people come to shop with purpose, check produce, pick up seafood or meat, and head home to cook. For people who care most about selection and price, that can be exactly the right fit.

As with many local markets, customer experiences are mixed, and it is fair to shop with your own preferences and standards in mind. Boss Supermarket currently holds a 3.9 rating from 56 reviews, reflecting both repeat customers who appreciate the prices and variety and others who have raised concerns about freshness and cleanliness. For shoppers looking for a convenient Asian grocery store in San Francisco, California, the store remains part of the local grocery landscape, especially for Chinese ingredients and everyday produce. Our family always purchases groceries when we are in San Francisco. Boss Supermarket is one market where we will shop in the Sunset District. Boss Supermarket is near many restaurants where we can eat breakfast or lunch before the grocery shopping. They have lots of items for the Chinese kitchen, including fresh vegetables and fruits.

“The food here is not fresh, there are even rats, and it’s very unsanitary. I will not be buying from here again.”

I went in to this produce market. I hadn't been to this market before and I wanted to know what it looked like inside. It's a nice market and it offers fish, meat products, asian foods, produce, tofu to name a few products.

Cheap Chinese market. Better than sunset super in prices in every way. The difference is between $2 to $3 in savings.
