With a strong 4.5 rating across hundreds of reviews, it has earned a reputation as a reliable place to shop for produce, deli items, beverages, and specialty groceries. Open daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, it fits easily into morning errands, lunch pickups, and evening grocery runs.

What many shoppers appreciate most about Canyon Market is its balance of variety and quality. Customer feedback often highlights the fresh fruit and produce, along with strong selections in meat and fish. The deli in the back adds another layer to the experience. Another detail that helps Canyon Market stand out in San Francisco is the wine selection. One reviewer specifically praised the thoughtful recommendations and the availability of affordable, distinctive bottles, pointing to a market experience that feels personal rather than generic. Overall, this is a good fit for nearby residents, busy professionals, and anyone who values fresh produce, quality proteins, curated wine, and a friendly neighborhood feel. Really cute market with high quality grocery and produce — however I do NOT recommend the heated meatball sandwich from the deli, which was cold in the center (see photo of hard cheese). Perhaps they just didn’t heat it enough, but it was pretty bad even though I was starving

Ordered from the deli in the back of this market. Let's break it down. Food quality is excellent. The sandwiches were tasty, the broccolini was so flavorful. We got good quantity and quality for our buck. However, it did take a pretty long time for our sandwiches to be made. We stood around for a long time just waiting for our food. We ordered some of the dishes displayed at the counter, and asked for them to be heated up since we wanted to eat immediately. The person helping us looked confused (maybe most people bring the premade food home to heat it themselves?). They microwaved it but I could tell the bottom of the box was still cold so we asked to reheat it to which they did. Then it was nice and hot and good. All in all there were some struggles but ultimately we enjoyed our meal. I'd come back and try out more of their food and sandwiches.

Very cute shop with a lot of great products. The deli was really cute and I was told to get a sandwich there. While the toppings on the sandwich were great, the bread seemed overcooked and was extremely hard and hard to bite into. Other than that I have no complaints for this location. There’s some street parking since it’s on the corner, and the staff was super helpful and nice.
