Chuanyu Fusion 川渝食府 is a Chinese restaurant at 7011 W Hefner Rd in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Local diners describe it as a casual neighborhood spot for Sichuan-style flavors, generous portions, and a menu with dishes that can bring noticeable heat. With a 4.5-star rating across 442 reviews, it is a familiar choice for people looking for a relaxed meal on the northwest side of the city. The restaurant is closed Mondays and open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

For a taste of the menu, reviewers recommend the scallion pancakes, especially alongside the beef shank noodle bowl. The pancakes offer a shareable start, while the noodle bowl makes a more filling option. Fried eggplant and a cumin-seasoned dish have also earned praise from diners who enjoyed their meal. These are useful picks for first-time visitors who want to try a few different textures and flavors rather than settle on a single entrée.

Heat and seasoning are part of the appeal for many guests. Customers who enjoy spicy food say the dishes can be bolder and hotter than those at some other Sichuan-style restaurants in Oklahoma City, with flavor to match. Others have had a less consistent experience, including one reviewer who was disappointed by the dan dan noodles and expected a more pronounced Sichuan taste. Since preferences for spice and preparation vary, guests may want to ask about heat levels and choose dishes that suit their taste.

The portions are another recurring point in customer feedback. Some diners find the servings generous enough to share or save for another meal, making Chuanyu Fusion a practical option for a group dinner or a hearty lunch. Reviews also mention that food can arrive fairly quickly, though service experiences are mixed: some guests describe kind, welcoming staff, while others wished for more attentive or pleasant service. Taken together, the feedback suggests a restaurant worth considering for its food, with the usual benefit of setting expectations that service may vary.

Whether you are a local seeking a dependable neighborhood meal or a visitor curious about Sichuan-style Chinese cooking, Chuanyu Fusion offers several well-liked dishes to explore, from scallion pancakes and beef shank noodles to fried eggplant and cumin-seasoned specialties. It may be especially appealing to spice fans and diners who appreciate generous portions. Find it at 7011 W Hefner Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73162; plan your visit Tuesday through Sunday, as the restaurant is closed on Monday.

Delicious food!! And we had such a kind waitress. This is definitely a hole in the wall local spot. I got the bed with cumin and fried eggplant. Both were so good!

Generally, will not back again. We ordered several for our party of 6, including a Dandan noodle. Which we are really hoping to have some real Sichuan taste. However, this noodle is OUT OF EXPECTATIONS! A LOT. The noodle is from Asian grocery plain dry noodle and the sauce pasta is just a little on the top, with a little green onion as dressing. Kids stirred and tried a little, tell us;: what is this? Is this Dandan? Oh my goodness! No way! That is just noodle! Nothing related with DanDan! Is the chef really from Sichuan? Or from Fujian?? Here is the picture of this noodle. Shame on this DanDan! Pls change the name to Noodle only. If you are reading this, Trust Me: you, please never order this and I, will never come back!

I wish the service was as good as their food. The gentleman that served us was not pleasant. Our food came out fairly quickly. There were some dishes on the menu that we ordered that were delicious. I highly recommend the scallion pancakes and it pairs well with the beef shank noodle bowl. The cumin and beef dish is overwhelmingly cumin and spice. Only try this if you're a big fan of cumin, to some it can taste a bit like dish soap. The lo mein noodles had a funny taste unfortunately. The handmade pork buns were meh at best, The crab Rangoon and sweet rice cakes were delicious. Our drinks weren't filled consistently. The outside of the restaurant lacks curb appeal and the theme on the inside is a little off. It was really warm in the restaurant and there's a leak in the roof somewhere because you can see wet spots on the ceiling tiles that were above us that seem to have been there awhile. I hope they make some much needed changes to their costumer service. If you give it a try, I hope your experience is much better than ours... Happy Feasting, Everyone!!!

Needless to say, the food is great! One of our go-to places because it’s close by and has quality food! Dishes are on the spicier side comparing to some of the other Sichuan style restaurants in the city, so to those spicy fans, you can’t go wrong!

Fantastic place! I’ve been here twice and I’m have loved both times. The spicy dishes are a perfect amount of heat and flavor. And the portions are HUGE. Very good amount of food for what you pay. I’m stuffed and I can probably make two more meals out of the leftovers. I will be coming back here! My dad is less adventurous than my mom and I, and he enjoyed the sesame chicken.
