The food here is fresh and delicious. The katsu was amazing but the star was the fried potatoes Karokke! More importantly, they have a young lady that works there that is very well informed with the cuisine. Not only is she kind but very informative. She will guide you with the best items to get. I didn't catch her name, but I came around lunchtime today and the food was phenomenal and so is the service.
I ordered the donkey yaki tofu and the korokkes, both were delicious. The tofu was perfectly crisped outside without the main body tasting like pure oil. The korokkes had a great hard crunch with just enough sauce drizzle to enchant the flavor.
This restaurant is awesome! It’s located inside the food court of H-Mart so it might be crowded at times but the food is *always* worth it. For me, the must have items are the donkatsu (Pork cutlet with katsu sauce and a side of salad) and …
Cafeteria style eatery in HMART but my family loves this place. The quality and consistency of their donkatsu (we have had the cheese, the curry, the regular) are always perfect over rice. They also always give us more curry or donkatsu sauce if we go back and ask for more. The employees at Donkey Yaki are always prepping or cleaning or aware of customers walking up. Very very attentive. It’s also super cold on this side of the eatery, so bring a sweatshirts. Oh, you can sub fries for their salad for free and we always do this. We come here about twice a month. It’s busy on Saturdays and finding parking can be a bit difficult as the entire KATY Asian town parking lot seems filled, so be patient.
