For a filling meal, one guest ordered a two-meat-and-rice combo with lumpia, ube cake, and a singbao bun, and found it generous enough to enjoy across lunch and dinner. That kind of combination can work well for a midday meal, while the desserts and snacks offer a way to round out an order. Guests also praise the flavor of dishes such as kare-kare and sisig. Reviews reflect individual visits, of course, but they offer practical clues for first-timers deciding what to try: ask about the day’s choices, consider a rice combo, or pick a well-loved dish alongside a side of lumpia.
The atmosphere comes through as relaxed and focused on good food rather than formality. Reviewers describe returning with family and choosing the café for Filipino comfort food, while one customer appreciates being able to text an order and pick it up without hassle. That pickup option may be especially useful on busy days; contact the business to confirm how ordering works. Filipiniana Philippine Café can suit a casual lunch, a family meal, or anyone in Tampa seeking Filipino dishes and generous combinations. Because it has limited weekly hours and closes at 4 p.m., plan a daytime visit to Filipiniana Philippine Café on W Waters Avenue.

Just had a late lunch here. Pretty impressed with the food! Had a handful of options. Lechon, chicken/pork Adobo, some marinated beef, chicken skewers, some pork meat with pork blood. I went with a noodle dish they had. I love any type of noodles. These were good, flavor was different but nothing crazy, it was just ok. Went with the combo meal with two meats and rice. Had the chicken Adobo and the beef. Both VERY good and a generous amount of rice. Adobo was super good, tender chicken and so much flavor. Beef was awesome too. Light spice flavor and meat was tender too. Had a halo halo too. Never had one. A variety of things all stacked together with a nice piece of flan right on top. Very good dessert/end to the lunch. Parking is limited. There was a already alot of people. Not only t the Filipina but the place next door. There was a line when I walked in to Filipina, but it goes by fairly quick. There's a couple ladies handling orders one after the other. Only wish they had the names on the options available.
I got the 2 meat & rice combo, lumpia and the ube cake and singbao bun. The Dinugan looks scary buts its actually super delicious. 10/10. Lumpia was also delicious. The pork skewer was a bit cold so im gonna reheat it but this is definitely a bang for your buck. Enough food for lunch and dinner for 1 person. But the most amazing stuff about this place is the service. This was my first time trying filipino food and the guy helped me in sampling which was so nice. I would def come back but with more knowledge and ordering in advance. I hope their business flourish
My family and I absolutely love this place! The kare-kare and sisig are two of our favorites! Always packed with flavor and cooked just right. What really sets them apart is the service: I can just text in my order and swing by to pick it up, no hassle at all. Makes busy days so much easier. Keep up the great work, Filipiniana — you've got a customer for life!
My go to place for Pinoy comfort food and dishes. Too bad they're closed three times a week. I have to drive all the way from Orlando even if they are located in Tampa. That's how great every meal there is there.
A 2nd trip to this location provided a better understanding of the food and a chance to find a couple more favorites. The food can best be described as a cross between latino food and chinese food. Many of the food items even have latino names. Today I got the Pata Frita, a fried piglet portion (2 legs) similar to lechon asado. Crunchy skin with small pockets of meat. My favorite was the Bistec, a spanish name for polomilla type steak but cooked in small squares chinese style without veggies, delicious. Then the Picadillo, ground beef vrry similar to the latino dish with the same name, pretty good. The last dish was Caldereta, a beef cooked in a typical latino caldero, very tasty. 2 desserts, our favorite the purple cake which I am guessing is made from taro and is frosted. Last a large square, rubbery with gummy bear consistency and topped with caramelized sugar which I liked. I came across this Filipino type restaurant in the same strip center as Saigon Deli, about 4 doors down. They have a variety of authentic foods to offer that run out fairly quickly. I was 4th in line and saw 3 items run out while I waited. One was 1/2 a fried piglet which I would have bought given the chance. I opted for the 2 meats with rice combo. One was adobo beef and the other a pork stew. Their food is very flavorful and savory. It is close in style to latino foods but the flavor profile is a bit different with a hint of asian spices. I liked the adobo most while the wife was very enthused with the bbq pork skewers. The skewer while very tasty, the meat was a bit dry and tough. They have no menu since they make day to day specials. There are some savory pastries as well, we had a delicious purple cake they only make on weekends. They have drinks such as boba and teas with milk. Definitely want to go back and try some more of the filipino dishes I saw run out. Come get ya some.
