Sign in to reviewI am so appreciate to the work for all of the foods here. I don’t try all of the meal here so I don’t know everything about this restaurant. This is my first time and I ordered 3 meals. My favorite is “cơm tấm” with 100% whole food and house made, that what I love and I really respect it, the taste is just perfect for me. I like the test of Papaya salad with soy protein but I wish the soy is house made And the last meal is salty for me. People here are nice and the restaurant is clean, huge there are tables for 1, 2 or even group of 6-8 people I think 🤔 Maybe I will comeback again to try other meals. But the “cơm tấm” is so good 😊. I am so happy with this meal
Golden Era is a rare find in the plant-based dining scene. While too many vegan establishments focus on ethical and environmental benefits but serve what is essentially non-meat junk food, this restaurant takes a different approach. The food here is not only good for the planet and the animals but is also good for your health. The extensive menu encompasses Vietnamese and Chinese specialties that can be customized to meet specific dietary needs. The service was caring and family-like, filled with helpful advice. When we requested adjustments to our dishes, they were executed perfectly. Furthermore, when we mentioned that one of our party is a fan of spicy food, the staff responded not with a single option, but with three different sources of heat—a gesture that was highly appreciated and added significant enjoyment to the meal. The cuisine is excellent and the service is commendable, but we must point out one significant weakness: the restroom. Unfortunately, we found the entire mirror covered with rude inscriptions. For a family-friendly establishment, this is out of place, and the management would do well to clean it up promptly. As ordinary consumers, we are not paid or compensated in any way for this review. We appreciate the healthy, high-quality food and hope the facility maintenance matches the kitchen's standards in the future.
Golden Era is a 100% vegan Vietnamese spot with delicious noodle soups. I ordered the vegan crab noodle soup (bun rieu chay) and it tasted so close to the traditional non-vegan version. The tomato-based broth was the best part of the whole bowl, a bit sour, light, comforting and full of flavor. It came with tofu, soy protein, green herbs and all the toppings went well together, super addicting! I came around 5:30pm, so it was pretty quiet and easy to get seated. Their menu is also hugeeeeee, with everything from banh mi, noodle soups, entrees and rice plates to desserts and drinks. You’ll want to come with a group so everyone can order different dishes to share. Highly recommend if you’re in SF and looking for a great vegan restaurant, or even if you’re not vegan and just want to explore unique twists of Vietnamese dishes!
This place is a vegetarian’s heaven. It’s truly a relief to have such well salted, well marinated vegetarian food in SF. Lemongrass deluxe, Thai fried rice are some of our favorites. Chow fun was decent. But overall this place is a win for vegans. I will definitely keep going back.
This Asian fusion restaurant is truly wonderful! I thoroughly enjoyed the best Bahn mi I have ever tasted, and the noodle dish was absolutely exceptional. The menu offers an amazing selection, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The food was delicious and came in the perfect amount of time. I had a very lovely lunch date, thank you! Update: We came back again the next day, the staff remembered us and were so sweet. We got the same meals in addition to the Lemongrass Deluxe, mango smoothie, pumpkin cheesecake, flan, and carrot cake cupcake. The mango smoothie was AMAZING along with everything else. (Excellent carrot cake, perfectly balanced flavours and texture) I would order everything every day if I could. This has become one of my top three favourite restaurants in San Francisco.
