Sign in to reviewDr Situ is my regular eye doctor now after Dr Ng retired her practice. Love their service and ease of communication. All their personnel is super nice. Highly recommend their location.
Super thorough exams and friendly, efficient staff. I really appreciated that the ophthalmologist took the time to explain the scans and the reasons behind my vision changes. Highly recommend!
I love Dr. Chan and his team! Everyone is so kind and professional. I’ve been seeing Dr. Chan for more than a decade and I trust him so completely. Also, they have a good selection of frames to choose from.
The doctor I saw was very nice and informative on my first visit switching doctors. Took his time to get to know me and what I needed for my vision care. Was actually one of the first optometrist to realize that my eyes tend to overcorrect when focusing and took the extra time and care to ensure I was relaxing instead of rushing for a prescription and the next patient.
DON'T GO TO HAIGHT STREET EYECARE, THEY SET THEIR OWN POLICY If you have VSP insurance think twice about going to Haight Street Eyecare. I called my VSP insurance three different times to confirm my insurance benefits and even spoke to the VSP claims team. I have a medically deemed necessary contact lens prescription and confirmed with VSP that a private practice can fulfill the medically deemed necessary contact lens year supply and they CANNOT limit the brand and specific product sku for a free full year supply of contact lenses. The VSP claims department will approve the high prescription that is written on your valid contact lens prescription for a free full year supply. The Haight Street Eyecare team claims there is a limit on the type of contact lens brand and product sku for a free full year supply. I asked if they would resubmit a request to VSP for the correct (revised) different Alcon product sku. They REFUSED to resubmit my request to VSP on my behalf. VSP said to call another in-network private practice to fulfill this medically deemed necessary year supply request. I did so and For Your Eyes Only happily fulfilled my medically deemed necessary prescription for a full year supply of contact lenses for free. I only had to pay a small co-pay fee. Haight Street Eyecare is setting their OWN POLICY claiming it's a limit on the VSP insurance, however this is not the case. The reply from the office is that as a patient, I don't understand how the process works. Why would my VSP insurance provide me incorrect information 3 different times? TO FUTURE PATIENTS, save your valuable time and money and find another practice that actually follows the VSP insurance policy so you can actually use your benefits. I highly advise to go to For Your Eyes Only in the Castro. Their team called VSP on my behalf, understood the policy, were quick to help me, and they were able to fulfill my medically deemed necessary year supply contact lens request (Alcon Total Dailies) with ease. I saved an extra $300+ out-of-pocket for these lenses by finding another provider to help me. Thank you For Your Eyes Only!
