Fresh and tasty bakery treats! :) Everything here is so delicious and they have a large range of items! It was our first time and we were glad to see that they had the treats we liked. Items are pretty reasonable priced and they also have drinks available. I highly recommend anything with real fruit or chocolate like their Fruit Tarts or Bavarian Chocolate! * Bavarian Chocolate: 10/10 - loved the chocolate chips * Fruit Tart: 9/10 - delicious pastry and real fruits * Chocolate Croissant: 9/10 - fluffy and nice chocolate flavor The people there were super nice and friendly. It’s located in the Mitsuwa Supermarket, but the bakery itself is kind of small. It also gets kind of confusing because there aren’t any signs that tell you where the lines starts so you’re kind of just crowding around. Finding a parking spot is pretty easy, however, because they have an underground structure. One of our new favorite bakeries! :)

This little Japanese bakery has lots of unique savory and sweet pastries and bread. We tried the Aji Tama Egg donuts, Wagyu Curry Bread Bread, Corn Mayo, Strawberry cheesecake Danish, Chocolate strawberry croissant, etc. We love it all. The staff are friendly and polite. But this bakery is a small counter in a corner inside Mitsuwa, so when there are a handful of customers around, you have to be patient and wait. The price is very affordable but the bread is smaller and slightly more pricey than 85c. But, the variety and quality is definitely worth every penny. This bakery also sells coffee as well in case you want some caffeine to wash down these delicious pastries with. Parking can be very challenging during peak hours.

Hamada-ya is conveniently located in the Mitsuwa market (by the cashier entrance). It's a Japanese bakery that sells bread, sweet and savory pastries, salad, sandwiches, and drinks. We opted for a coffee jelly milk, and an iced coffee w/ almond milk & tiramisu syrup. We also got a apple custard cake to share. I enjoyed the coffee jelly milk the most, and the apple custard cake was airy and fluffy. However, I wish the coffee was stronger. Also, I probably wouldn't recommend their tiramisu coffee, it tasted pretty artificial IMO. All in all, it's a nice little Japanese bakery. The pastries were slightly on the expensive side, but the quality was there. Drinks were relatively cheap. Will probably be back to try out the Boloniya bread and other savory pastries when I'm in the area.

I’ve been coming to Mitsuwa for a while, but I never stopped to check out Hamada-Ya until today. They offer a large variety of Japanese pastries, rolls, breads, and more. I decided to treat myself to a melon pan + a loaf of shokupan, and I was NOT disappointed at all. This was my first time having melon pan (I missed out when I was in Japan) and it absolutely blew my mind!! The bread was soooo soft + fresh, and the outer cookie-like shell had a great flavor + texture—I pretty much inhaled it in 2 minutes. It changed my life, which may sound dramatic, but I take my carbs very seriously. 🍈🍞 I can’t wait to come back for more melon pan and also try all of the other baked goodies they offer!

I absolutely love the pastries at this location! My two favorites are the strawberry croissant and the delectable crème fruit tart. I highly recommend trying both of these treats at this amazing bakery!
