Sign in to reviewIn all honesty, more of a 2/5, but it looks like a family run spot that's just trying to survive the hellish SF rent. There's no flaw in the sandwich. It is just a banh mi. But quite expensive for what it is. If I wasn't passing by the other day and just wanted a bite, there'd be no chance I buy from here. They have tons of other dishes too though, which also looked good. But strictly based on the sandwiches, this place is skippable.
Great sandwiches! Grilled chicken had so much flavor. The combo was yummy. Will come back to try their pork. It was good size and their bread was soft. Vietnamese coffee was also superb.
They have delicious Vegan options! Highly recommend the spring rolls. The veggies are fresh and the portions are a good size! Order the Veggie (Tofu) Banh Mi with no Mayo and it’s Vegan.
Seriously, I started to buy food from this place since I moved to this location around 6 months ago. In comparison with other places that I bought Bahn Mi and spring roll here in SF, this place is far inferior, the portions are very small and the food is not consistent, since it depends on the mood of who is preparing. A while ago the price of the food was increased, but the food didnt get better, so I stoped buying there and started to buy from another place called Dinosaur, that is a bit far, a bit more expensive but far more flavorful and much better portion. Today I was without much time, so I decided to give another shot, and buy a spring roll in this location again. When i got home and try to eat it, the spring roll came with no lettuce at all and full of carrot. Seriously, such a weird thing, carrot with shrimp. I couldn't eat and threw it away. Honestly, if you guys wanna improve your business, maybe think about have some consistency and quality, over just making things pricier. Im not going back. You guys lost two clients that were buying food almost every day in your location. Very disappointed.
Grab someone, or not, and head to this spot! It's nestled in between a couple of other spots - on a strip on Townsend, which is better than the busy and crowded places around the city. The food is tasty and fresh. I recommend the chicken or pork banh mi. The pork egg rolls go hard. I love the little salad and dressing that come along with the egg rolls. A little soy in the dressing and I'm ready to bathe in it! Each time I go, I want to try the pho but them banh mi's give me life. Don't slap yourself by not going. Go and let the food slap you!
