Sign in to reviewLeaving two stars because you can’t remove two star reviews - this place sucks. I think I went here like maybe three years ago. It was OK never went back but today really pisses me off because what do you mean this is my lox bagel like the salmon is is on its deathbed at least a week maybe plus I don’t know how long it takes for salmon to look like this but disgusting and my bagel wasn’t even toasted - how do I petition to Have Bagel St., Café move to Park Street because they’re literally just taking up prime location with subpar in hell products
Tried a cranberry bagel that was not very cranberry-y but the texture was good and plenty of cream cheese. Very fast service. I would come back here
I'm definitely a bagel person, and I've had deli-style bagels in Brooklyn, Montreal, Los Angeles, and Studio City. Every major city claims to have the best deli bagels and sandwiches, but House of Bagels is by far my favorite stop for simple, yet authentic lox and egg salad bagels. The owners are really nice, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are huge. If you're in Alameda and have the craving, this is the place!
I really like house of bagels, I used to go to the one in concord and would pay $10 for my order and my sandwiches never disappointed, but I started going to the park street location and I hate to say it but they don’t quite compare. This location is very stingy with their meat. For $13 I would expect a better made sandwich.
I love this place. I've been going here for many years. The bagels have just the right chew. The cream cheese is satisfying and the staff is professional and friendly. My go to bagel is the pumpernickel.
