For anyone comparing moving companies in San Francisco, that consistency is often what makes the difference.

Customers repeatedly describe In & Out Movers and Storage as efficient, careful, and fair on pricing, which are three of the most important things people want from a mover in San Francisco. Reviewers mention Fernando and his team by name, noting prompt communication, professional service, and a smooth process from start to finish. Several customers highlight how carefully the crew wrapped furniture and protected belongings, while still completing the move quickly. That balance of speed and caution is especially valuable in a city like San Francisco, where narrow streets, stairs, apartment buildings, and tight schedules can add stress to moving day.

In & Out Movers and Storage appears to be a good fit for both residential and business moves, as well as repeat customers who have returned more than once over the years. Reviews point to help with large and heavy items, in-city relocations, and even assistance with donating items that clients could not move themselves. That kind of support suggests a team that understands moving is rarely just about transportation; it is also about logistics, timing, and helping people manage transitions with less hassle. For households, professionals, and small businesses in San Francisco, CA, that practical approach can be especially reassuring.

The overall impression is of a company known for professionalism, hard work, and clear communication. While every move comes with its own challenges, the strongest pattern in the reviews is that many customers felt their belongings were treated with care and that the crew worked efficiently without cutting corners. If you need a mover near San Francisco that residents have trusted for local moves and storage-related needs, In & Out Movers and Storage is a name worth keeping in mind. Its combination of accessible hours, strong ratings, and repeat customer loyalty makes it a solid option for people who want a moving experience that feels organized, responsive, and grounded in local service.

We have used In & Out movers twice now over the last four years. Fernando and his team are extremely professional, kind, and hardworking. They have the best prices I have ever come across for moving and got the job done extremely quickly even though we had a large amount of heavy items and were moving up a steep hill with lots of stairs. Highly recommend In & Out movers!

They showed up on time, and he and his team did a great job carefully wrapping our furniture and belongings, and completed the move quickly. Also, they are all very nice and enjoyable to work with. If you need a mover, you should strongly consider In and Out Moving.

I've used In & Out Movers for other moves within the city and they've always been incredible - This move was no different! They are efficient, careful with everything and very reasonably priced. They even helped me with donating some items I couldn't move myself but didn't want to take with me to the new place. I really appreciate that they disassemble and assemble larger furniture pieces.

Review of In and Out Moving This is a terrible company and my husband and I very much regret using them. We have moved many times around the US and Asia, and this was by the worst, most disastrous move we ever had. We had stored an apartment’s-worth of belongings for three years in Chicago and wanted to have it sent to San Francisco. The communication all along was terrible with our representative, whose name was Tiffany, but on moving day it was even worse, as Tiffany never answered her phone and we had no other contact when we had problems with the movers. The truck arrived an hour earlier than Tiffany had initially told us, and we were still driving to our apartment. Their driver called me, furious I was not there, as he had to get started unloading because he had another job to get to and was stressed about traffic. When we arrived at our apartment 30 minutes later, the driver (his name was Marco, I believe) was visibly angry and belligerent to me, to the point where I felt intimidated and was considering calling the police. When my husband showed up after parking the car, he was more polite, but he was remarkably rude and hostile throughout the move, including flatly refusing to start the work until we paid him $150 cash because the distance from the truck to the elevator was longer than he said he was being paid to carry. He insisted I manage the elevator and hold the door and was rude and disrespectful throughout the horrible two hours it took them to unload. His two teammates actually apologized to me for their rude boss. He refused to even try to get our sofa into the elevator, and ditched it in the lobby, unbeknownst to us; while we were upstairs, someone stole it! I felt threatened by Marco and as soon as everything else was upstairs, just told him to leave. It was awful. There were several questionable things about the movers in total. Their truck had an expired registration. Second, the name of the mover was literally taped onto the side of the truck with painter’s tape to hold it on. Third, when I asked for their certificate of insurance showing they had worker’s comp insurance in case anyone had an injury, they told me they did not have it. In addition to the issue of the stolen couch, there were three boxes that were missing from the shipment, plus a missing coffee table, all of which Marco attested to on the inventory document. A full-length mirror was broken into dangerous shards. We calculated that they owed us about $5,000 for all of the missing and broken items, and got a terse letter saying they would pay us $45, take it or leave it. We have contacted them and they do not respond, so are writing this review and contacting the Better Business Bureau. Do not use this company!
