BEWARE!!! I took in my expensive custom made wedding ring in to get it resized. Was happy with the initial resizing when I picked up my ring. Had my ring home ONE week and a diamond fell out of one of the bands. Took it back and they said they would fix & replace the diamond at no cost to me. A few weeks later, another stone fell out this time of my engagement ring. Drove to the store two different times during open hours listed online to pick up my band after receiving a call that it was ready. Nobody was at the store, doors were locked. When I called to find out why the door was locked, I was told that they had an event and I could come another day. Drove 45 minutes each way each time. I believe if they are going to have times when the store is closed during normal business hours, then make the hours “by appointment only”. So frustrating! When I finally was able to pick up my wedding band, I showed them the other diamond that had fallen out. I was told that when rings are resized, that things shift around and can fall out. What kind of an explanation is this?? Part of a jeweler’s job is to repair jewelry, and stones should not fall out as a result of resizing the rings. They did offer to not charge me labor for replacing the SECOND diamond, but I would need to pay for the diamond (which was lost AFTER they resized my ring). No thanks, totally lost faith in this jewelry store. I would think twice before taking your expensive sentimental jewelry in for repair here.

I have the best experience with Staci. Together we redesigned my ring with a new diamond. Staci is kind smart and creative. I love a woman owned business and will have her create another ring for me soon.

I believe is may be the only asian owned jewelry store in Sugar Land. Was delighted to hear Kim Chau opened a location in SL and I was in need of some jewelry repair and ring sizing. I usually go into Chinatown and having Kim Chau nearby is definitely convenient. Located at First Colony Mall in the outdoor shops area. It faces the parking lot. Staci is so nice and welcoming. She is very knowledgeable and welcomes any questions. She provides fair pricing and negotiations. I have had my engagement ring resized after 7 years. She also has repaired my bracelets and earrings. I have purchased jade buddha pendants for both my boys and Golden necklace chain. In less than a year, I have made beautiful pieces from Staci and has repaired many of my own previous jewelry pieces. I highly recommend Kim Chau for any of your jewelry purchases and repairs. Her engagement ring bands are gorgeous and the selection of earrings and matching necklaces are so tempting.
