La Antioqueña is a neighborhood bakery at 3023 W Waters Ave in Tampa, Florida, where customers stop in for fresh-baked favorites, savory bites, and a welcoming, family-run feel. Visitors describe friendly service and say they have been offered samples that helped them discover new things to try. Whether you are looking for a quick morning treat, something to share, or a casual meal, this Tampa bakery offers a range of familiar choices alongside distinctive breads and snacks. Its practical location on W Waters Ave makes it a local option for residents and visitors exploring Tampa’s food scene.
A standout favorite is pandebono, a cheese bread that customers praise for its memorable taste and say is hard to match elsewhere in Tampa. Pan de bono is also recommended alongside semi-sweet breadsticks for anyone drawn to a bakery stop with both savory and lightly sweet options. Beef empanadas are another popular choice, offering a filling snack or an easy addition to a meal. Reviews also mention excellent Cuban toast, giving guests another reason to visit for a simple breakfast or coffee accompaniment. If it is your first time, asking about the pandebono and empanadas is a useful place to start.
La Antioqueña serves more than baked goods. One customer describes an espresso with milk over ice paired with a lunch special of steak, rice, salad, and plantains, praising the steak’s tender texture and flavorful seasoning. These options make the bakery suitable for different occasions: a quick coffee, a savory afternoon bite, or a sit-down lunch when you want a satisfying combination of familiar foods. Customers have also highlighted fair prices, though individual orders and offerings may vary. The menu details shared by visitors suggest a place where you can explore beyond the pastry case and find a fuller meal as well.
The atmosphere is informal and compact, with ordering and pickup handled at the register, according to a customer review. The space can feel crowded, and it may be harder to hear when an order is ready; visitors who are new to the bakery may find it helpful to listen for their name and confirm their order at the counter. Some customers note that Spanish can make communication easier, while others describe the staff as especially kind and welcoming. La Antioqueña is open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. For a Tampa bakery visit, it is a practical spot to try pandebono, empanadas, Cuban toast, or a lunch special, with a friendly neighborhood character that keeps customers coming back.

Excellent Cuban toast. It is difficult to be understood when you order if you do not speak Spanish. You order and pick up at the register. Given the small, crowded space it is difficult to hear that your order is ready. It is worth it to me as a non Spanish speaker to go here to support a small, local business and for their excellent hot food items.
Y’all get “pandebono” it’s this cheese bread that is AMAZING. I have not had anything like it or as good in Tampa. Their empanadas are killer too! The woman taking my order was so sweet! I will be coming back often!!!!

I feel so blessed to have found this spot in Tampa. The prices are outrageously fair and the food is beyond delicious to me. I had an espresso over milk and ice with the lunch special which was steak rice salad and plantains. The steak was so flavorful and tender that I just immediately fell in love. The service is so friendly and warm that you feel like you're walking into your family's home ,if you have a good family 🤣🤣. I'm simply visiting Tampa for a few days and will definitely be returning on a regular. I have not been this satisfied or happy with a place to eat in months and I eat out all the time... I'm actually excited to return. No joke and a big thanks to the ladies in that kitchen🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
