Lan Zhou Lamen Noodle House is a Chinese restaurant at 2716 E Fowler Ave in Tampa, Florida, serving noodle soups and other dishes that customers return to discuss and recommend. The restaurant has a 4.4-star rating across 798 reviews, and guests mention both memorable favorites and differing opinions about individual dishes. That mix makes customer feedback useful for setting expectations: many reviewers praise the soups, while one diner found the braised beef noodle bowl underwhelming. If you are looking for a locally situated Chinese restaurant in Tampa, Lan Zhou Lamen is a spot to consider for a bowl of noodles, a shared meal, or a casual stop along Fowler Avenue.

Noodle soups are a recurring highlight in customer reviews. Guests call out the braised beef noodle soup and kimchee beef noodle soup, and another reviewer describes finding the restaurant while craving spicy beef noodle soup. The comments suggest that soup is central to the experience, with several diners returning to particular bowls. Feedback is not universal, however: one customer liked the beef in the braised beef noodle bowl but felt the serving did not make the noodles the star. For anyone choosing what to order, the reviews offer a useful starting point rather than a guarantee that every dish will suit every preference.

There is more to explore than soup. Reviewers mention house fried rice, fried dumplings, lamb skewers, and house special udon noodles, describing these as satisfying choices and, in some cases, personal favorites. They can make a meal feel easy to share, whether you are stopping in as a couple or picking up a few different flavors for the table. One reviewer says the fried rice and dumplings were worth a drive from Palm Harbor, while another highlights lamb skewers alongside a noodle order. These are customer-reported favorites, so they provide concrete ideas without suggesting that every guest will have the same experience.

Customers describe a clean dining area, friendly service, and a family-owned setting. One review praises quick service during a rainy-day visit, while another notes that service can suffer when the owner is busy handling the restaurant. The comments point to a personal, hands-on atmosphere, with the practical reminder that the pace may vary. Lan Zhou Lamen Noodle House may suit Tampa diners seeking Chinese noodle soups, a casual meal with friends or family, or a place to try fried rice and dumplings alongside a bowl of noodles. Located on E Fowler Avenue, it brings together a range of customer-mentioned comfort-food favorites in one neighborhood restaurant.

What a hidden gem!!! Amazing food and quick service from this family owned establishment! My husband and I were on our way home from a doctor’s appointment when it started pouring so we decided to find some place to eat and wait out the rain. Thats when we stumbled upon this restaurant! My husband is from New York and we have been trying to find a spot that reminds him of NY Chinese food. Come to find out, the owners are Chinese who had restaurants in NY and opened this cute little spot here in Tampa in 2019. It was one of the closest he has found to the food he misses from back home. Dumplings were to die for and so was the fried rice!! We will be back!

Was digging some spicy beef noodle soup and found this spot. Clean dining area. Friendly owner. Service suffered as she was busy working the whole restaurant. …

This restaurant has the best soup ever. I’m particularly fond of the braised beef noodle soup and kimchee beef noodle soup. I also usually order the lamb skewers. My husband is fond of the house special udon noodles. Li is absolutely lovely. She and her family have created something very special. 10/10 highly recommend.

First and last time eating here I had the braised beef noodle bowl. Very Mediocre. I have had plenty of Asian dishes like this here in America and Okinawa Japan. The beef itself was good but the star of the show was not enough.
