This spot is a real gem—a cozy, hole-in-the-wall Chinese dumpling and noodle joint. You can order from the kiosk. They serve hot tea and water in paper cups. The food is filling and comes in big portions. We loved the open potstickers, fish congee, and beef noodles (ok). The rice congee was cooked perfectly ‘Cantonese’ style, which my old papa was really impressed with. The service was thoughtful; they knew we’d be doing family style and brought extra serving bowls so we could share without being asked.
This is a minority report as the jianbing is apparently locally celebrated. It looked great. It smelled good. No reason I shouldn't have liked it but I didn't. I didn't like the taste. Chalk it up to culture clash. I had mustard pork noodle …
Absolutely amazing food, you can taste the love and care that goes into preparing these dishes! It's fresh, flavorful and the hospitality is so welcoming. The young gentleman tending to customers was polite and happy to accommodate and serve us. The ladies in the kitchen were timely and diligent in preparing our plates. This place sets the bar high for any competition, keep it up!
Food was astounding. In particular we really enjoyed the Jianbing, XiaoLongBao and wonton soup. Looking forward to returning and exploring the rest of the menu. We really were impressed by the quality and flavor of the food served. Also the …
I think the prices are perfect. The flavors of the food are potentially not what you'd typically expect for chinese food - it's like comfort, hearty, robust food. Not suuuuuper flavorful but comforting for sure. They give 3 sauces: chili oil, garlic sesame, soy sauce + vinegar, I asked for extra chili oil and garlic sesame. We liked the garlic sesame specifically with the handmade dumplings and the chili oil with literally everything else. Jiang bing ⭐⭐⭐✨ - wonton crisp a little soggy - flavors were there though - not super generous on the meat ♥️Beef stew ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - ordered extra meat - wish there was extra bok choy - noodles seemed fresh! - would definitely order again House made pork dumplings ⭐⭐✨ - definitely our least favorite, but it's solely a preference thing - just less flavor but it really was handmade - I think a lot of people would like the thicker skin on this ♥️Pan fried buns ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - coming back just for these - crisp, perfect, juicy - loved the pork on the inside
