Gabbi deserves HER FLOWERS because WOW 👏🏽. From the moment we walked into Miss Shirley’s, she made us feel so welcome. She was warm, personable, funny, and just had this energy that made it feel like we had known her forever. By the end of the meal, we were literally talking like family! 😂 That kind of connection cannot be forced, and Gabbi has it naturally. She was also an AMAZING mixologist. I didn’t know what I wanted to drink and she made me a tropical drink and baby… she made that thing GOOD. 🍹 It was delicious, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted. She clearly knows her way around a bar AND a dining room, which is a whole talent by itself. And when it came to the food, Gabbi was so helpful with her recommendations. She knew the menu and actually took the time to listen to what we liked before suggesting dishes. That made the experience so much better because we weren’t just randomly picking things. We felt like we had somebody guiding us through the menu who genuinely wanted us to have a great meal. And speaking of the meal… EVERYTHING was fresh and delicious. The dim sum??? Literally the best dim sum I’ve ever had and I’ve been eating dim sum for decades! You could taste the freshness in everything we ordered. What really makes Gabbi stand out, though, is that she gives you the feeling that she genuinely cares about your experience. She checked on us, answered every question, made recommendations, kept everything moving, and still had time to laugh and talk with us. She was attentive without hovering and personable without ever losing that professionalism. That’s the kind of server who makes a restaurant memorable. The food brought us in, but Gabbi absolutely made the experience. She is the type of employee who builds relationships with guests, creates repeat customers, and makes people want to come back and ask for her. Miss Shirley’s, y’all have a STAR in Gabbi! ✨

Stopped in for a solo dinner and had a great experience. The staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment I walked in. I ordered several different dumplings, and every one of them was delicious. Simple, comforting, and definitely worth a visit if you enjoy good dumplings and a relaxed atmosphere.

Oh my god the food was so good and so fresh. Usually Asian fusion is a miss, but Miss Shirley knows exactly how to cook to make you think of home and also to bring out the best flavors of everything in a dish. My husband was so impressed by the shrimp wonton soup that he went from happy to sad because he didn't want to think about the fact that he wouldn't be able to have the soup until the next time we visit NOLA. What floored me and my husband was that the leftovers somehow tasted even better the next day. 10000000/10 highly recommend.
