I’d say the main advantage of Mitsuwa Marketplace is definitely its food court. As for the supermarket itself, I wasn’t particularly impressed with the selection. Compared to similar stores like H Mart, Tokyo Central, or 99 Ranch, I like those much more. This one feels relatively small, especially when it comes to the variety of prepared foods available. I did enjoy the red caviar, although a small container cost around $14, that was pricey for me. Also, closer to closing time, around 6 PM, there’s already quite a limited selection of ready-to-eat food left. There’s also a nice bakery inside the store that reminds me of Paris Baguette in terms of variety. Everything there looked really delicious.

This place was packed during lunch when we were there on a Saturday. We took forever to find a parking spot. This was the largest Mitsuwa that I've been to. It had fun little stores inside and a nice big food court. We already had lunch prior but grabbed some delicious but pricey boba teas while we were shopping. We would definitely want to come back when it's not so crowded to grab a meal in their food court.

When you visit the mitsuwa you can't miss out on the beef tongue. This is like a landmark for Costa Mesa. I've been visiting here since 2016. I do see the price spike from 17 to 28 lol but the quality is good as always. Once in a while is definitely worth visit. The location will also have pop up during the weekend.

We love the food-court for a quick meal. Lots of options, super fresh, hot, fast, and efficient. During prime hours and weekends, it may be difficult to get seating. With a little patience, it's not too bad. This is our go-to for a quick, casual family outing.
