My Shiny Nails is a nail salon at 29 W Thomas Rd in Phoenix, Arizona, serving people looking for manicures, pedicures, and other nail services in a convenient central Phoenix location. The salon has a 4.2-star rating across 244 reviews. Customers mention gel pedicures, French tips, acrylic fill services, dip manicures, and a selection of gel and dip colors. If you are comparing nail salons in Phoenix, these reviews offer a practical picture: guests describe both positive, attentive visits and occasions when a service did not meet their expectations, so it can help to explain your preferences clearly when you arrive.
For a polished, classic look, one reviewer highlights a gel pedicure finished with French tips. They appreciated that the technicians worked quickly and adjusted the tips to make them thinner when asked. That appointment also included a brief lotion and oil treatment with a hot-rock massage. Other guests mention acrylic fills and dip services, making My Shiny Nails an option to consider when you want maintenance for an existing set or a manicure in one of those styles. Service details and results can vary by appointment; sharing your preferred shape, length, finish, or level of detail can help communicate what you have in mind.
The atmosphere comes across in reviews as personal and accommodating. One customer describes the family running the salon as welcoming and says they were able to get an acrylic fill appointment during the same week they called, including a same-day opening. Another reviewer says they were helped promptly as a walk-in. A long-time customer shares that they and their sister have returned for more than five years, praising attentive care and the range of gel and dip colors. These experiences may make the salon worth considering for regular upkeep, a visit with a family member, or a quick appointment when availability allows. Calling ahead is a sensible way to ask about openings and the service you need.
Reviews are not uniformly positive: some customers have been happy with the speed, gentleness, appearance, or longevity of their nails, while another reported discomfort during a pedicure and dissatisfaction with a dip manicure. If you are sensitive to filing or have specific comfort preferences, speak up during the service so the technician can respond. A reviewer reported paying $46 for a gel pedicure with French tips, while another described a $60 visit; these are individual experiences, not a current price list, and one customer noted that the menu seemed outdated. My Shiny Nails is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check directly for current pricing, service availability, and appointment options before visiting.

I got a good gel pedicure with French tips for only $46 - super affordable!! They were quick and accommodating when I asked for the tips to be made thinner. They also gave a brief lotion, oil, and hot rock massage, which was nice :)
The family running this place is really nice. I called in the morning for acrylic fill service during my lunch break i asked for anytime this week and they surprisingly said they could fit me in today. The shop was empty when I got there and remained that way. I told them I was there for an acrylic fill. What seemed to be the son used a bunch of different files and mandrels as they seemed to get dull quickly, or were worn down from previous use. He may have been new to doing services, taking over an hour just to shape my oval nails. He was pretty quiet but seemed meticulous. Around the 55-minute mark, I told him I still needed to get back to work and asked if I could return at 5:00. He called over someone who might have been his mom to paint my nails, saying it would only take five more minutes. It actually took 12, so it ended up being an hour and a half total. She was super friendly and easy to talk to. Their sign says fills start at $35, so I wasn't shocked by a $40 quote plus tips for both of them. Aside from it taking so long, my nails turned out lumpy, misshapen, and uneven. I really wish I’d gotten better resultsbecause i love to patronize family businesses.
My sister and I have been coming here for over 5 years, and we wouldn’t go anywhere else! This is a wonderful, family-owned salon. Kim and her husband do such an amazing job. Kim is always so attentive and takes great care of me every visit. They have a fantastic selection of colors in gel, dip, and regular polish, even cat eye polish and chrome, which I love! The prices are also very reasonable for the quality and care they provide. You can really tell they take pride in their work. Highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for great service and beautiful nails every time!
Worst dip manicure I have ever gotten, and the pedicure was no better. The pedicure was so so, she cute my nails so short that she was filing my skin and I had to have her stop because it was just hurting me. No massage with the pedicure …
Very gentle and pretty fast. A bit pricey the menu is definitely outdated but I was a walk in and was helped right away. Mine cost $60 and with a tip I paid $70. I honestly think they are gonna last a long time and I happy with my nails :)
