Sign in to reviewWalked in at 7 on a Friday (30 minutes before close, I'm the worst! 😭) and asked if they could fit me in and they very graciously did. The women who own this shop were so nice and my nails came out great. Also the massage included in the manicure was the best I'd ever had when getting my nails done. It really helped with some knots I had in my shoulders and tight muscles in my lower arms from typing on a keyboard all day. I've lived in this neighborhood for 5 years but never gotten a manicure from any of the numerous places on Chestnut because it was so overwhelming to choose, but I feel like I found the right salon on my first try. Will definitely visit again. Next time I want to try the dip manicure!
Since zero stars cannot be given, I have to give one star. First of all, the pedicure they do is terrible. I also couldn't understand the logic of the ridiculous 10-second foot massage. I told the pedicure technician to cut my nails as short as possible, but he didn't. Finally, when I took my other foot out of the water, where he had not cut any nails yet, and compared we both saw that there was almost no difference. After I showed this to him, I had to warn him two more times and the third time he could only shorten my nails. Another request I had was to file my nails flat and square. The toenails are flattened to prevent the shoes from hitting the front, this is already a rule. If you look at the photo you will see that the technician cut the roundest nails I have ever seen in my life, he even cut the edges, now I will have to wait for those edges to grow first. But apart from all that, I was yelled at in a nail salon, which is the first time I've ever experienced this in my life. The owner, whose name I realized was Tiffany, told me to choose a nail polish color when I first entered the store on my appointment time. So I found one color close to the color I was looking for, put it aside, and continued searching for the color I was really looking for. I previously liked that nail color at another manicurist and took a photo of it. I decided to look at the pictures on my phone to remember the code and name of the nail polish I was looking for. Seeing me looking at my phone, Tiffany started shouting, "hey, excuse me, we are ready, sit down here" among all the customers and employees, pointing to a seat. I have never been treated this ugly and yelled at in a shop in my life. I was literally shocked. When I gathered myself together, I could say that I was looking at the photos to find the color I was really looking for. She said to me, "But you found the color and put it aside and then you started looking at your phone." I made another explanation to her, although I didn't have to, and said: This is not the actual color I am looking for, I am looking for the code of the actual color in the photos I took on my phone. What I don't understand is that I can be a customer looking at his phone, does that give me the right to shout? I was so surprised that I didn't know how to react. I sat down and had a disgusting experience. Both the pedicure they provide and the way they treat customers are terrible. I will never go to this business again, and I will warn my friends who live in the same neighborhood.
Super clean look! I am absolutely obsessed! They do such an amazing job here. Ven was incredible, got me in and out when I needed to run to a meeting. So glad I found this place!
The nail salon experience was undoubtedly the worst I've ever had. As someone from Europe, I struggled to find a decent nail salon in San Francisco. This was my fourth attempt, each one worse than the last. To top it off, they had the audacity to ask how I would be tipping them, whether by cash or card. I would have been more willing to tip generously for a job well done, but unfortunately, that was far from the case.
I love this place. I go every 2 weeks to have my nails done! They do an amazing job!
