Navis Pack & Ship

I had a terrible experience getting a shipping quote from Navis. I provided full details upfront upon their request (dimensions, photos,), and the initial estimate was around $3,300–$3,400. Based on that, I moved forward with the purchase and even put down a deposit with the seller. From there, the process became slow and inconsistent as I tried to get the estimate in email so I could accept it. Responses often took days, and I had to follow up multiple times just to get updates. As the process continued, the pricing became increasingly unclear. The quote shifted based on estimated weight (which couldn’t be verified until pickup). The price ultimately increased to around $4,300 and finally $3,900. Both estimates were well above what we originally agreed to on the phone. I understand that shipping large furniture has variables, but the lack of a firm, reliable all-in price upfront made it very difficult to plan. Combined with slow communication and changing terms, it created a lot of uncertainty and ultimately caused me to walk away from the deal. I lost $500 in the process as the seller (the person selling the furniture) isn’t refunding the deposit.

I recently used Navis to ship a large oil painting and frame from San Francisco to Palm Beach FL. Navis picked up the artwork from my home in a temporary wrap and transported it to their facility where they expertly packed it for transit in ample foam, a custom heave weight box, and reinforcing straps. Transit time was faster than expected for the cost. Cost was comparable to similar services that were not as white-glove. Why am I not giving 5 stars? Navis communication was reactive rather than proactive. This included arranging the pickup to providing tracking, to connecting about the delivery. Every time we reached out, they responded quickly, professionally. and accurately. I would use them again. I wish they had an automatic system to provide updates at each stage and provide photos of the packing process.

Extremely disappointed with Gonavis. Total lack of communication—the point of contact don't answer phones or emails. Promised shipment last Friday, but they keep stalling with vague excuses. Unreliable service and zero accountability. Avoid if you need timely shipping.

I sold a vintage heavy & bulky musical instrument on an online platform, and needed to have it transported from California to Texas. Both myself and my customer were pleased with Navis. Every step of the process was explained and the expected time for the item’s delivery was met. The item was delivered in perfect condition.

This team was excellent. They assisted me with a last-minute freight pack and ship from CA to WA. Their communication was clear, efficient and helpful. They took detailed notes and video of their disassembly so the team on the other end was able to reassemble, including photos of the specific tools used. I will use Navis Pack & Ship again.
