Small Japanese market in Japan town. While it's small and a parking is probably not great during heavy hours, they're deli area is fantastic. Sushi is fresh with quite reasonable prices, lots of the deli items are priced much cheaper then many asian markets around town. Would drop by again for the sushi.

The Nijiya in San Jose is quite small, and they have fewer items here, but the staff is very friendly, and the service is excellent. 😊 We did not see meat slices for hotpot, but they do have fresh small wasabi, although the wasabi at Mitsuwa is larger and thicker. There's also sashimi, but we were there quite late that day, and it didn't look very fresh. 🍣 However, they do have a wide variety of other items. You can find fresh vegetables, tofu, Konjac, frozen food, drinks, snacks, desserts, cookies, candies, Japanese daily necessities, noodles, seasonings, and more. They seem to have almost everything you need for daily living, but in each category of items, there's not a wide variety of options. 🛍️🍜🍵 Overall, despite its size, Nijiya offers a good selection of products, and the friendly staff and excellent service make it a pleasant shopping experience. 💕🛒

Staff was helpful and gave us some ice to keep the stuff cool on our way back to Reno. Gotta have properly made onigiri, bento, and Japanese beverages. This place had 3.5 out of 4. Onigiri and bento were just like in Japan. Oi-Ocha was the same. Choya was also the same, but none of the Japanese beer was any good. Asahi super dry brewed in Italy??? Are you serious! The store probably can’t control that, due to various government regulations, but they have more control over it than I do. Also lost a star because the store is too small.
