Beware of incorrectly priced items at this store. I purchased a half gallon of milk here tonight. It was marked $4.99 on the label in the refrigerator. The cashier rang it up at $5.99. I told him it was labeled $4.99 in the refrigerator. All he said he would do is remove the label in the refrigerator and charged me $5.99. Even if it was only a dollar it’s still illegal for any business to do that and it’s also just bad customer service.

Has the best durian chips but you have to really search for them. Four stars.

I have always gotten friendly service at Noe Grocery. I live nearby and shop with them pretty frequently (1-2x/week). Good neighborhood anchor for small groceries, sodas, cleaning supplies, snacks, and reasonable beer & wines. Two thumbs up!

This store consistently stocks the best avocados ever! We don't buy them anywhere else but here, now. Les, the man who runs the store (and is almost always the guy behind the counter) really knows how to pick them. Good prices, too. We live nearby and stop in several times a week to pick up little things to avoid the hassle of a big trip to the larger grocery.

Jake and Leslie have witnessed it all. The plagues, fires, fistfights over parking, robberies, all the martyrs that emanated from this neighborhood and so many dogs that Jake has a treat budget . These two gentlemen have been providing provisions to the neighborhood since before there was a single tree on Noe Street. Since the mid 1970’s. Think of the customers these two guys have exchanged pleasantries with. Harvey Milk and all the martyrs of the AIDS epidemic walked through that same entrance. So many people, so many faces, so many stories. Jake is an institution and deserves respect, Leslie took the job in the 1970’s and through it all, the robberies, all the dogs and their owners, doesn’t make mistakes. The store sells goods, the people that work there are historians. Give them respect. When they are gone, so goes some of the last witnesses to the great conversion from the dark ages to the embracement of freedom and absolute equality.
