The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and made check-in a breeze. Dr.Lin took the time to truly listen to my concerns, explained everything clearly and made me feel completely at ease! Highly recommend!
Stellar physicians and practice. My daughter was seen by optometrist Dr. Morgan Ichimoto and we were blown away by her thorough examination. Her attention and recommendation led us to Pacific Eye’s sight-saving glaucoma specialists. While this location is very busy, all staff are warm welcoming and patient. Well-worth the wait for doctors that truly care about your family’s eye health!
If I could give a zero star review I would. Stay as far away from this place as possible! The doctor I saw for my MGD kept trying to sell me different treatments to resolve the issue when the issue likely could’ve just been resolved with steroid eye drops on my first visit. Instead my “treatment plan” was dragged out over a series of months. She finally said I need laser treatment to resolve (even after the steroid drops worked) which was absolutely NOT recommended by my dermatologist because it could cause skins discoloration!!!!!! So they don’t even know what they’re doing, they’re just trying to sign you up for their expensive treatments that may or may not work. The best part is I’m STILL having to deal with this place because for one of the treatments I paid $1500 out of pocket and they are now basically refusing to file a post-pre authorization with my insurance for the treatment (which was covered by my insurance and they told me at the office it wouldn’t be) and reimburse me. I’ve been calling billing for MONTHS and every time I get a new excuse- new system, new person who is learning and doesn’t know how to file insurance claims, today the system was down so they couldn’t check on my claim. The excuses go on and on and on. I’m so disappointed with how unprofessional this place is and that it’s even able to operate in this city. I am ready to file with the BBB because it’s all such a scam. STAY AWAY!!!!!!
I was a patient there for years. I had very good experiences and truly horrible experiences. At one point the office mngr became angry with me, as she was handling something a doctor should have been handling and she didn’t understand the medical issues. She got very angry if I tried to explain it to her. Later I received a letter telling me they would no longer treat me. They gave no reason for this decision. I had told them I was packing to move out of state. My eye conditions are such, that I can be high risk at times and require medical care to retain my vision. Since I was preparing to leave the state, this left me with no care if I had an eye emergency. It really felt like the office manager had taken over my medical care and decisions. It seemed unlikely either of my doctors were involved in that decision, as there’d never been issues with either of them. I felt abandoned for no reason except a clerks pettiness and it put my vision at risk.
Too expensive and not professional. A few weeks ago, I had an urgent care appointment because of an eyelid infection. It started suddenly after I woke up one Monday morning, and I suspected it might have been caused by an insect bite. During the appointment, the doctor briefly examined my eyelid but didn’t provide much explanation and simply prescribed an eye ointment. The visit cost me $565.47, not including the medication. The next day, my condition worsened, so I contacted the clinic again. They issued another prescription, but when the pharmacy called, they told me the medication wasn’t in stock and would cost over $400 if I take this medicine. I decided not to proceed with that prescription and continued using the ointment I had. After a week, the infection not only persisted but spread further across my eyelid. I had a follow-up appointment scheduled, but when I asked about the cost, I was told it would be over $400 again. I canceled the appointment and looked for a second opinion instead. Fortunately, I found another clinic. I explained the same situation, including my initial suspicion about an insect bite. This doctor examined my eyelid and diagnosed it as a bacterial infection, not an insect bite. They prescribed oral medication and recommended applying warm compresses. After taking the first dose, I immediately began to feel relief, and now I am almost fully recovered. This visit cost me $210. Given the difference in diagnosis, treatment, and cost, I am now wondering whether I can request a refund from them.
