Paul Mitchell The School Phoenix is a beauty school at 3423 W Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85017. It serves two kinds of visitors: people exploring beauty services and prospective students looking into beauty education in Phoenix. The school’s public-facing services are performed in a learning environment, so a visit can bring together a student’s developing skills and an educator’s guidance. Customer feedback describes haircuts, hair-color services, nails, and pedicures, giving visitors a practical sense of the work they may be able to request. For anyone comparing local beauty schools or looking for a salon-style service in Phoenix, the setting and the range reflected in reviews are useful details to consider.
Reviews point to specific experiences rather than a single guaranteed result. One customer praised a lowlight appointment, noting that student Leeann and instructor Curtis evaluated the desired color together before carrying out the plan. Another visitor was pleased with a haircut by student Kylie, who listened to the requested style and delivered a result the customer loved. These accounts suggest that consultation and communication can be an important part of a service visit. Other reviews mention nail appointments, including acrylic French tips, glitter, and pedicures. Experiences vary: while one guest said a friend’s nails and pedicure looked beautiful, that guest was unhappy with the time and final result of their own nail service. Visitors may want to discuss the desired outcome, timing, and service details before getting started.
For future beauty professionals, Paul Mitchell The School Phoenix may be worth researching as a Phoenix training option. A graduate described feeling proud of the education received and praised the educators and staff, while another review raises concerns about a student’s experience in the nail program. Together, these perspectives offer a more balanced picture for prospective students: individual experiences differ, and it can be helpful to ask the school directly about program structure, instruction, expectations, and student support before making a decision. For service guests, the educational setting may suit people who are comfortable receiving care from a student and value the possibility of educator input. As with any appointment, clear communication about preferences can help set expectations.
The school is located on W Bethany Home Rd in Phoenix, Arizona, and has a listed rating of 4.6 from 872 reviews. Posted hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; it is closed Saturday and Sunday. Because school schedules and service availability can differ, confirm current hours and appointment options directly before visiting. Whether you are considering a haircut or color service, exploring nail services, or comparing beauty education in Phoenix, the reviews provide concrete examples of both positive outcomes and experiences that did not meet expectations.

First time for services at Paul Michell School…Leeann did my low lights…. Curtis was the instructor who advised on what color I wanted to achieve… having them both evaluate and execute the plan was FABULOUS. Great service! I will be back!
I recently completed the nail program at Paul Mitchell Phoenix, and unfortunately, my overall experience was extremely disappointing. I am sharing this review because prospective students deserve to know what my experience was like before …
I got my nails done here with a friend, and her nails and pedicure came out beautiful, so props to that student. Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t the best. My acrylic French tips with glitter took about 4–5 hours and I ended up unhappy with the result. The student was nice and understanding, but the nails weren’t what I expected. Prep wasn’t done very well, cuticle oil wasn’t applied after, and I felt too awkward to say anything at the time because I had already signed the form. A teacher did try to help during the process, but overall I left disappointed after being really excited to get my nails done for the first time in years. Everyone was kind but I just didn’t like my nails and I think they should tell you beforehand if they’ll be ugly nails or if they are experienced and will do good nails and they were $50. You get what you pay for I guess and it’s a gamble on if you’ll have nice nails. They’re just too bulky and misshaped for my preference. The last picture was my inspo
I had such a wonderful experience at Paul Mitchell The School Phoenix! Kylie did an amazing job on my haircut she really listened to what I wanted and delivered it beautifully. I’m so happy and satisfied with my new style! …
Graduated student from this school and I am very proud and pleased to say that the education I got here was top notch. There wasnt anything that i didnt learn. The educators are just amazing. The staff makes you feel like a family. If you are considering this school for your education i would highly recommend it. I would specially recommend the esthetics program which is absolutely the best. The facials at this school are absolutely great and the students are more than prepared to assist your beauty needs. Not to mention the affordable prices. If I could I would rate the school 20 stars.
