Such a cute startup Taiwanese bakery tucked into a small storefront near a busy Waltham intersection — with parking in the back (huge plus!). The space is clean, aesthetic, and super charming. The baked goods are fun, unique, and refreshingly different from typical American desserts — think brownies baked into pretzels, not-too-sweet nougat cookies, and savory-sweet combos like pork floss and salted egg yolk. What truly stole the show for me was the corn mochi pudding. I usually don’t love corn or black sesame desserts, but wow — they do it right. Soft, pillowy, slightly chewy, with custardy cream… highly recommend. Pro tip: reheat the pretzels, even if they’re fresh. I tried mine cold and regretted it — much better warm! The drinks are just as intriguing. I tried the fermented cheese Thai tea with crystal boba (loved that they use crystal boba!), but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. The texture was super airy and creamy — like sipping a cloud — and if sweetness levels were adjustable, I’d definitely order it again. Service was ok. I wish the employee working there had tried the food before. She couldn't really tell me which ones were a favorite or recommended other than it's good. Overall, super unique offerings and absolutely worth a visit. Excited to come back and try more!
The strawberry dubai chewy cookie was absolutely delicious! The texture was so interesting and I personally loved it. I think the strawberry was very important to balance it out and not make it too dry.
Peipei's Bakery has quickly become one of my favorite dessert spots around Boston, especially during the hot summer days. They package everything with great care—even the fresh cream desserts come in an insulated bag with ice packs, so everything arrives cold and fresh. I came specifically to try their new seasonal desserts, and they did not disappoint! The Coconut Mango Pudding Box was my favorite. It was loaded with sweet, ripe mango chunks, layered with silky coconut pudding and a light mango pomelo cream. Every bite was refreshing, creamy, and full of fresh mango flavor. It's the perfect summer dessert. The Lava Chocolate Mochi Crunch Box is a must-try for chocolate lovers. The crunchy chocolate shell, chewy mochi, and rich lava chocolate create an amazing combination of textures. I followed their recommendation to freeze it slightly before eating, and it tasted just like an ice cream cake with an even crunchier chocolate coating. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Blood Glutinous Rice, Tapioca, Taro Balls & Peach Gum Milk Pudding. It has a wonderful mix of chewy, soft, and silky textures, and it's barely sweet, making it a refreshing dessert that's easy to enjoy. Their classic desserts are just as impressive. The Mochi Pudding Assortment offers several flavors, and each one is smooth, creamy, and wrapped in a soft, chewy mochi layer. The Strawberry Dubai Chocolate Cookie stands out with fresh strawberry, pistachio filling, crispy pastry bits, and rich cocoa powder, creating a unique balance of chocolate, nuts, and fruit. The Nama Chocolate Pie, Taro Cheese Balls, and Taro Swiss Roll were all fresh, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Overall, everything tasted high quality, with balanced sweetness and beautiful presentation. If you're looking for creative Asian-inspired desserts in the Boston area, Peipei's Bakery is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended!
Absolutely delicious there are many options and the mochi donuts are amazing they have so many flavors and they are not sweet so you can actually taste everything! Same with the taro milk tea I loved it!
From the outside it looks small but they have a lot of variety of delicious pastries. First time coming and the staff was very friendly and patient. The staff showed me all the different types of items they had and pointed out some of her favorites. I got the Dubai style mochi and it was delicious. Not over sweet like some others.
