Sign in to reviewSuch kind owners and really great pho. Got the #23 and the spicy beef. Spicy beef is a lot of oil though so it could feel heavy. Also despite it being in the tenderloin it wasn’t that sketchy
Great Pho! I was looking for some good Pho and ventured into the Tenderloin district of San Francisco. It's a pretty gritty neighborhood with all of the homelessness dwelling in the area. But this restaurant serves up excellent Vietnamese food! I had the Bun Bo Hue and it was very tasty and filling. It warmed me up made me happy. Service was good... Not really liking the neighborhood, but I will be back.
I needed coffee before First Thursday art walk and every cafe was closed. Luckily, I decided to walk into Pho 808. Got Vietnamese coffee and Chagio (Imperial rolls) …wow! Delicious strong coffee and really fresh ingredients. Imperial roll is veggie-heavy, less meaty but the fried skin is both crispy and delicate. I asked the sweet owner to refill my water bottle and she was so gracious and caring about it. Thank you! Will be back, maybe pho next time.
Okay rarely write reviews and here I am to support a small biz I was hungover and looking for some food, saw this place online and tbh no idea what I got myself into and knowing the neighborhood is. you know . Beef Stew Noodle Soup: $16 it hits it slaps, just so good 😮💨😮💨😮💨 I also asked for extra broth coz I love a good soup, the lady didn’t even ask me for $. The soup was amazing and hits the spot ! Lots of beef and tendon given, very tender. The lady (owner?) and her son served me, both are so nice, not good English, very kind ppl. It’s the kind of Asian food place you know the food will HIT (Fits the description of Ali Wong’s show, iykyk Hole in the wall, giant numbers on the name, mahjong table in the corner, etc) The neighborhood isn’t the best to walk around, day time is fine, but relatively fine. Uber in and out if you need.
I’m so blessed to live in a neighborhood full of amazing food, and this Vietnamese spot is one of my absolute favorites. Instead of overwhelming you with a huge menu, they focus on perfecting each dish. Every bite is super flavorful and simply delicious. It’s clear they put a lot of love into their food, and it shows. If you’re looking for a place that delivers the best of each dish, this is it. Highly recommend! 🍜✨
