Sign in to reviewPinoy's Jewelry will not fix their mistake in craftsmanship and will refuse service if you kindly ask them to fix it. This was a very simple and inexpensive issue to fix. Instead of helping you, they will say, "You are a difficult customer," and they will become angry and shout at you so everyone can hear. I was so confused why they became filled with rage over fixing a $5 mistake. On Monday, July 31, 2023, I went to Pinoy's to purchase a new clasp for my gold necklace because the clasp had broken. A woman named Linda helped me. I traded in the broken clasp for it's worth in gold. The balance I owed for the new clasp was $12.50 and the labor cost to weld the small ring circle was $5.00. The total was $17.50. The service was completed and I paid. Later, after I got home, I decided to check the craftsmanship under a magnifying glass because I wanted to make sure the weld of the small ring was good and secure. My necklace is very special to me. It was a gift from my wife and my mother-in-law. If I lost the necklace because it broke away, I would be really sad. This is why I decided to double check the weld. I'm glad I checked because at the point where the weld was done there was a hole. The "weld bead", or "weld bubble" was empty. This means the weld was only held together by a thin shell. If it was done correctly the weld would be solid, like a tiny marble. Instead it was like a soap bubble--empty inside and easy to pop. I came in to Pinoy's Jewelry two days later on August 2, 2023 to ask to have it fixed. I showed them the hole in the small ring circle and they polished it and gave it back. I was very kind and respectful and polite. I asked them to weld it again to make the ring circle secure. That's when the owner (Linda's mother) started yelling at me and telling me I am a difficult customer and to have someone else fix it for me and pay them. I spoke very calmly and respectfully and told her that I was disappointed because I paid to have this repaired at Pinoy's and I would like Pinoy's to fix it. I told her that if Pinoy's didn't fix it, I would not bring future business to them (I originally got the solid gold necklace from Pinoy's). She shouted at me and many other Jewelrs from other kiosks looked up and were watching. I went to another jeweler at the next kiosk. I explained the issue and showed them under a magnifying glass. They verified they saw the hole and asked $10 to fix it. They fixed it and I paid them $20 because I was happy the issue was resolved. I still don't understand why Pinoy's Jewelry became so angry. Beware doing business with Pinoy's because this may happen to you too. The photo I attached shows the ring circle that connects the clasp to the necklace.
DO NOT GO HERE. Took my friends here to get their jewelry resized, and it came back dented, lighter and literally NOT the same ring! We tried disputing with them directly, and they would not accommodate.
May 18, 2024 Went here twice for repair of my sister’s 14k loop gold earrings and anklet/bracelet which were just bought about 2 weeks ago from them ….. Linda , the owner (?) was rude : (1) charged us $30 for repair (2) told us we’re buying 14k only (low class) (3) that we don’t know how to use or take care of our jewelry and worst of all, she offered to buy it back and we showed the receipt , she offered 50% only ….. never again I’m coming back here ….. rude and no quality
