The market is especially known for its grab-and-go sushi and sashimi, which regulars praise for fresh fish and fair prices. Sign in to reviewSeiwa Market is a great little Japanese market and one of my favorite grab-and-go sushi spots in town. They offer a wide variety of options, from snacks and drinks to small meal selections, making it easy to stop in for a quick lunch or pick up a few things for home. I especially enjoy shopping here for basic Asian spices and pantry items, and they also carry a surprisingly good selection of gluten-free products, which is always appreciated. Their sushi is freshly made daily before lunch, and once it sells out for the day, that’s it — so getting there earlier is definitely a good idea. They do have a small seating area if you want to eat there, but it’s better suited for individuals or small groups rather than large gatherings. Overall, it’s a cozy and convenient spot with quality food and hard-to-find Japanese grocery items. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy Japanese snacks, sushi, or cooking ingredients.
This market has a lot of Asian products that are actually pretty hard to find in Houston. I was surprised by how many unique snacks and drinks they carry. It’s a great place if you’re looking for authentic Asian groceries that you don’t usually see in regular stores. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy exploring different Asian foods and products.
This is a delicious, little flair of a flavor stop! So many tasty treats and rare finds that you'll be snacking for the next week! The viral mango ice cream smells and tastes like fresh mango. The strawberry, twisted ice cream cone is worth it too. Everything from lemongrass to ramen, fresh bakery to kiwi mochi and rare to the US pink strawberries, you can find it all. Don't drive by this one!
The best and top quality to-go sushi/ sashimi I’ve ever had, though you need to come early enough or they’ll be out of a ton of food after lunch time. The fish tasted so fresh and came at a great price. Other options include sweet Japanese eggs (tamagoyaki), grilled eel, chirashi (sashimi rice bowl), and sashimi grade fish that you can cut at home. The store also offers a wide variety of Japanese snacks and pantry items.
This market has fresh produce, grocery items, sushi, poke, and other great lunch options. I recommend coming before the lunch rush, around 10–11 a.m., since options can be limited afterward. I love this market and will definitely keep coming back!
