Auntie who owns the bakery is super passionate about her craft. Had a wedding cake delivered from Sunset bakery and the product exceeded expectations. Very easy to work with and professional in an old school way, she's reliable and she's got it covered. The cake itself was amazing and great quality, fluffy Chinese style cake with just the right amount of sweetness and fruit. Highly recommend for an outstanding cake and hardworking reliable service.

Note: CASH ONLY! Tasty treats for cheap prices! I tried the custard slice, egg tart, and pineapple bun- all good. Very quick service too. Not many savory vegetarian options. Heads up there’s no filling in the pineapple bun and it doesn’t really taste like pineapple. I saw another review which said this place had the best pineapple buns in the city- I don’t know about that but it was decently good, especially for the price. Also heads up that everything you get will be tossed in a little plastic bag so when I got the custard slice, it had broken a bit from being in the little bag with other items. I didn’t really mind this personally but thought others might. If you want a fork, you can ask for one.

So glad I made this impromptu stop. The sweets here are DELICIOUS! The best mooncakes I’ve ever had. The cream on the cake is so fresh and the perfect amount of sweet. Cake had perfect bites of fluffy cake with good fruit. Everything was balanced super well. High recommend!

Authentic Chinese bakery with great prices and great food. The woman behind the counter was friendly and the food was very well-priced compared to some other Chinese bakeries in the city. The place is clean, but definitely aged. You can tell it's been in business for a while now. There isn't a massive selection, but still plenty of choices. There are cakes in refrigerators and small trays of pastries on display, along with a menu for buns. The custard tarts are made with puff pastry which makes them way better than the neater looking ones you'll find at other bakeries made with a rough-puff, sort of shortbread dough. Puff pastry takes a lot of effort to make, and you'll feel the difference when you bite into it. They're so flaky and not too sweet. I highly recommend buying the custard tarts. I bought a box of them and will definitely buy more in the future. Just remember, this place is CASH-ONLY and the ATM at the corner store a few steps away charges $3.25 for a cash withdrawal.

Buns: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Overall: I've been coming here for years for pork buns. The extended review... Buns: Pork Buns - 4/5 - The buns are pretty good. Always have a couple of these for breakfast during the week. It's a quick eat that I can appreciate. Service: 4/5 - Friendly service. Ambiance: 3/5 - It's a small place and could use a little more refurbishment but for the most part I take it to go.
