Finally found an asian skincare store, 45minutes away from Harvard, which my skin desperately needed! It has most of the popular ones. The store is really clean too. They have a basket for you to carry your items and the cashier is patient and informative!
Such a cute store in Chinatown neighborhood. There’s tons of skincare products and makeup, trinkets and toys, and snacks and beverages to try.
So rude, ESPECIALLY the cashier. They would roll their eyes and continue to disrespect my grandparents. I specifically sought assistance because I noticed staff members who were fluent in Chinese. I asked if they could quickly translate “bag” in Chinese for my grandmother to ensure she understood. Despite being able to help, the employees refused to switch languages and continued to speak only in English. This felt intentionally exclusionary and made the shopping experience unnecessarily difficult for an elderly customer. She is incredibly hurt as she thought she could find comfort shopping in CHINATOWN yet your employee couldn’t translate a simple sentence in first grade Chinese. I suggest that Tao’s reviews its policies on customer assistance. If staff members have the language skills to assist customers who are struggling, they should be encouraged to use them rather than creating a barrier that feels disrespectful to the community. I also would like to ask, please retrain or at least make sure your staff have manners because they were also so disrespectful. Never come here, such rude employees. Even Allston, a Korean dominant area does better.
This shop is my happy place! I love all the affordable skincare and the trinkets. I'd drop hundreds of dollars on it if I had more disposable income haha. Great customer service too!
One of the coolest store in Chinatown been coming here one in a while since it was open and had always been greeted and assisted nicely. They have way too many fun products here and you will come out of the store with a unique style every time !!
