THEKOI Sushi & Sake

My wife and I went here for a date night based on reviews and proximity. We had drinks, apps and entrees. All the food and drinks we had were great. The server was knowledgeable and professional. Our only concern was the table, menu and even wall at our booth was sticky and had soy sauce everywhere. Overall, our experience was great and would return and recommend as it could have been a one off issue.

Have eaten here twice now. Once for my birthday and once for our anniversary. Both times they made it a special experience. Service is great. Each time they have been kind, personable and so swift with catering to our ordering needs and overall experience. We got the Sashimi box, Sumo roll and sexy edamame and all were delicious! Casey was great :)

The fish tastes like it was swimming hours earlier: buttery toro that melts on the tongue, sweet scallop with just the right kiss of citrus, and salmon so vibrant it practically glows. Their rolls strike that elusive balance between creative and classic. The flavors are bold yet refined, never overpowering the natural quality of the ingredients. Even the simplest nigiri feels elevated. Don’t sleep on the drinks either. Their cocktail list is fantastic—perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and dangerously drinkable. The lychee martini and yuzu sake spritz paired flawlessly with the seafood and left me smiling between every sip. Service is attentive without being stuffy, the portions are generous for the quality, and the entire experience feels like a special night out without the pretentious price tag. I tried this place once, loved it, and ended up coming back several more times. It’s a bit of a drive out to Tacoma, but absolutely worth it. The sashimi is incredibly fresh, and the nigiri is just as impressive—everything tastes clean and high quality. The pricing feels fair for what you get, and the service has always been friendly and attentive, which made each visit really enjoyable. Also, their espresso martini is amazing—I highly recommend it. Next time, I’m definitely coming back to try the matcha martini!

Great service and beautiful food. It was almost too pretty to eat. I felt like I was destroying art! But, oh well. I set my feelings aside and dove in. Delicious! Great atmosphere, as it felt very local, like a neighborhood hang out. Loved it!
