STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! 2 separate times we had to file a claim. Once when we got hit by a tornado and lost half of our brand new house and most recently we had an ice storm and it caused and ice dam on the roof and created a leak inside the house. Our house was just built and we lived in it for only 4 months. The tornado hit and we were out of it for 5 months. The adjusted that came out literally told us to just wipe the cabinets down cause it just had some mud on them. IT WAS HIT BY A TORNADO! THERE WERE PIECES OF GLASS EMBEDED IN THEM!!! He also said the appliances looked fine and will probably still work. We had to fight just to get our house back to what it used to look like. When the ice storm hit our adjuster never even gave us enough money to complete the job and then she ghosted us for 3 weeks. We called to get an explanation but they told us to wait until she gets back from pto in 5 more days. THERES A GIANT HOLE IN OUR CEILING AND OUR ELECTRIC BILL HAS QUADRUPLED. Both times we were made to feel like we were criminals and doing something wrong. We pay for our insurance every month and on time. We have been worh Travellers for 8 years. This will be the last time. We are done. Please please please take my advice and LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE!
I would give negative stars to Travelers Insurance if I could! I filed a claim and of course, my premium increased! As soon as I can, I will drop Travelers Insurance and go with any other company, even if the premium is higher! Insurance works for you until you file a claim...what a shame! I could never work for such a dishonest industry. Unfortunately, Travelers Insurance does not value its customers. Independent agencies will get a bad rap because corporate agents/adjusters are not concerned with the insured. Lesson learned!
If I could give zero stars or less I absolutely would! I got rear ended by a travelers insured driver in an automatic carwash who then drove off without stopping. after getting insurance information from the police report I immediately filed a claim. I have been waiting for two weeks now and can't even get an estimate for the damage because they're "investigating." meanwhile they have the police report, two statements, and were provided the information to receive the surveillance video the day I filed but magically haven't received that yet, because they haven't requested it. the "manager" I spoke to was absolutely no help and kept giving me the same answer of "we're investigating" and offered NO help in speeding up this process. worst customer service and company I have ever dealt with IN MY LIFE
So from 23-24 my home insurance was $2100 and for some reason in 24-25 my insurance jumped up to $3900 and now its back down to $2900. Was on hold for 30 min and when I finally spoke to someone I could barley understand them because they …
Have had two terrible experiences. Had them as both home owners insurance provider and car insurance. Last year they suddenly canceled our home owners insurance with zero notice at all, which then put us in a hard position, scrambling to get another policy elsewhere because it’s required. Now we get a notification from the local gov notifying us that the liability policy on our car is gone, has been since April, and that not only do we owe a fee for that but also our vehicle registration will be SUSPENDED unless we find new coverage by the end of the month. It’s illegal to drive a vehicle without continuous liability insurance coverage. Guess what? No notifications or explanation from Traveler’s at all. We will never work with them again and I hope this serves as a warning for others to not work with them either.
