Sign in to reviewAlan took car of us. My wife’s 4runner was displaying lights on the dash for “no reason”. Alan did some troubleshooting and discovered that mice had been feasting on wires. They chewed right up to the plug and didn’t give him much room to splice new wires. After a couple of hours, Alan found a work around, saving me from spending thousands of dollars on a new wiring harness and the extended labor hours it would have required to install. I’ve always had good experiences at Tune Craft and I highly recommend them!
Tune Craft La Mesa offered a lifesaver with their quick same-day service – no appointment needed, which was a huge plus for my busy schedule. Their regular oil change with basic service price seemed reasonable at around $45, but the synthetic oil change price jumped to over $100, which was a bit of a shock. While I appreciate the efficiency and convenience, I'm left wondering about the steep price difference for synthetic oil. Overall, Tune Craft is a solid option for quick oil changes with tire rotation and basic service check, but be prepared for a significant price increase if you have synthetic. Less than two hours later while waiting for my daughter to get out of school my left passenger tire became flat. Called roadside assistance who came to inflate the tire and listen for leaks. He heard nothing. We both came to the conclusion that the cap was not fastened properly and let all the Air out. He reinflated my tire but definitely not a good first impression for Tune Craft, Regretfully I must take the stars back and I cannot recommend this place.
I had a great experience here! After having had some negative experiences with a bad nationwide auto service, Alan and his excellent service and demeanor were a breath of fresh air, pun intended: the breath of fresh air is also due to my AC being expertly fixed, and it works just like new. His rates were reasonable, and even with an expensive fix like this he explained everything he was doing to address the issues with my vehicle and why, and also went the extra mile by checking my tires and other aspects of my vehicle to make sure it was working properly for me without me even asking; I am more than happy to pay the price for such excellent quality and service. Alan and Tune Craft have earned my respect and excellent review, and I would definitely recommend this business.
Our family has been using this Tune Craft for over 20 years and they have always taken good care of us. Honesty and great service. They back what they do. We only go to other mechanics when we must or we am not in San Diego. I live in Lemon Grove, but I used to live in City Heights, we will go out of our way to use this shop.
