Each time I visit this location, I regret it. It is obvious that the ownership is simply profiting off of African-American culture without truly valuing us as people. The majority of the items in the store cater to Black women and our hair maintenance. Now onto the review...The managers do not even offer a greeting upon entering the store. As you walk through the store, it is apparent that your every move is being monitored and scrutinized. You can thank all 100 cameras they have set up on every corner. The assumption being that you are either stealing goods or engaging in unscrupulous activity. The managers are rude and unfriendly. I avoid this location on most occasions by ordering my items online, but I do end up visiting when I need items immediately. Going forward though, I will no longer spend my hard-earned money here where it is obvious I am being used and disrespected. I encourage you to do the same.

I have no complaints. The staff is respectful and always available to assist and/or answer questions. They have a huge inventory of everything : I am always able to get what I have in mind. Most of these kinds of stores are geared toward one ethnic group by another ethnic group or other- that is the reality. At least here, I must again mention that I feel no disrespect, as is very common in other establishments of this type. I recommend this place, so far, for a positive shopping experience.

I was very disappointed with their customer service today. It started with a phone call that just said “hello” with no mentioned of the store or additional greeting and that we’re closing “soon.” When I arrived to purchase 3 items, the door was locked at 5:53 pm prior to the 6:00 pm closing. I was able to enter when someone left. When I spoke with the owner, he was very rude and had no regard to their operating hours. I informed him that his customer service was extremely poor and he nonchalantly said “okay” with the premise that I don’t need your business. Please note that my purchase was completed at 5:57 pm. I would like to encourage you to consider other local businesses that want your business. Customer service is key to continued support!!!
