The shelves bring together snacks and ingredients for Japanese cooking, along with sake selected for the shop’s small-scale retail space. Customers describe it as a cute little shop with a well-curated sake selection, and a useful source for specialty items that can be harder to find in an everyday grocery run. Whether you are planning a particular recipe, replenishing a favorite ingredient, or simply browsing for something new to try, Fulamingo offers a focused selection rather than the scale of a large supermarket. The compact popup format is part of what to expect: shoppers can browse the items stocked inside Wellspent Market and ask about specific products.
Sake is one of the shop’s notable offerings. Customer reviews mention a Sunday tasting from 2 to 4 p.m., with a small selection organized by flavor profiles and explanations from the person leading the tasting. This can make the experience approachable for curious first-time tasters as well as people who already enjoy sake and want to compare styles. Since tasting schedules and product availability can change, it is sensible to check with the business before making a special trip for a particular bottle or event.
Fulamingo also serves customers beyond its in-market shelves through online ordering. Reviews describe attentive help when an item was unavailable or an order arrived missing a product, including efforts to locate a requested sake and prompt follow-up to resolve an incomplete order. These accounts point to a personal, responsive approach to customer service. For shoppers seeking specialty Japanese cooking items, snacks, or sake in Portland, that service can be especially useful when looking for a particular product. The business has a 4.2-star rating from 12 reviews.
The popup is open every day, Monday through Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., according to its listed hours. Excellent customer service. I ordered a particular sake online for pickup that went out of stock before the order could be fulfilled. Instead of simply canceling the order, they went to a few other stores in the area to try and find it for me, and contacted the distributor to see if they could get more. I really appreciate the extra effort they took to try to fulfill the order, and that they let me know pretty quickly when they had to refund it. I'll be shopping here again in the future!
every sunday there is a sake tasting from 2-4. was very pleased with the small selection of sake clearly sorted by flavor profiles, and the pop-up tasting experience. the person leading the tasting did a great job of explaining some of the sake to us.
Cute little shop inside the Wellspent Market. Features Japanese snacks, cooking ingredients and a well curated selection of Sake.
Honestly my go to for speciality items. They sell stuff out of wellspent market and online. Idk why people dont understand they have limited real-estate in the market. They are well represented on the shelves. I love going to the market and …
These guys are awesome! I got my first order promply, but it was short one item... Erik sent out the missing bottle immediately, priority delivery! This will be my "go to" site for Japanese cooking items.
