I’ve come to really enjoy my shopping experience at Gus’s Market. I’m appreciative of the friendly and courteous staff who go above and beyond—whether that’s finding a specific product, explaining what fruits are in season, or recommending a recipe. I usually experience severe anxiety when grocery shopping, but here I don’t. It’s small, generally not too crowded, and everyone knows their shit, which is refreshing. The products are what you’d typically expect to find at Whole Foods (but better, in my opinion). Prices are similar—maybe slightly higher. I also love the generous selection of beverages, ice creams, and snack items, plus the wide variety of gluten-free and dairy-free options, which I really appreciate
There’s a few parking spots available at their garage Harrison St. it can be very busy during the weekend. Always very well stocked and clean. Live be also moved fast. They carry acme bread here. The produce and fresh goods are always very fresh. The cafe is now open and there’s plenty of outdoor seating.
Visiting from out of town and was happy this was walkable from where I’m staying. Produce seems high quality, and while I didn’t need a ton of items for the weekend, I was impressed with the selection.
There was a mix-up with the catering on my end and they still managed to put the order together last minute and deliver it to the event. Shout out to Karen who was responsive (although she must have been throwing daggers at me) and communicative about the timing. I truly appreciate their catering team being able to put the catering together for my job's event to run smoothly. I know they don't do that often and these are rare occasions, but they truly -- saved my ass --. Note to Gus's Market: give your catering team a raise for the excellence in their service today. I don't know how I will repay you.
